Different schools do it differently but at my high school students can usually take AP Calculus AB junior year but I took pre-calc over the summer after my freshman year so I was able to take AP Calc AB sophomore year!

My guess is that her school did geometry combined in algebra 1&2, took A1 in 8th grade, A2 9th grade, pre-calc SS, and Calc AB 10th.

yes, for calculus go through all of the units and do lots of practice problems, for apush use flashcards and go through all of the rubrics for dbq's and saq's and for bio use bozeman science videos and review with a prep book!! for all of these classes watch the free ap review videos from collegeboard on youtube.

I just took AP Calc BC as a sophomore, and i got here by taking skipping up to 8th honors math as a 7th grader (Algebra 1), skipping geometry, doing Algebra 2 in 8th grade, then Honors Precalc as a freshman, now AP Calc BC as a sophomore

I HIGHLY recommend using the ap review videos on youtube and ap classroom as they cover content that might be almost a carbon copy of what you will see on the exam. the teachers for ap calculus ab, Virge and Mark, were really great and did a great job explaining all the content. ALSO I highly recommend using the website Fiveable when it comes closer to exam time. I used them for both ap calculus and apush last year, which happen to be both the exams that I got 5's on.

It is really important to understand the material throughout the year and I would recommend getting a Barrons book to study with at the end! My situation is different than most people's for Spanish but I would say to try and immerse yourself in the language as much as possible by watching shows in Spanish or reading Spanish books!

for spanish it’s important to understand the language as it’s being spoken because the first half of the test will be comprehension questions based on audios and reading so just make sure u can understand what the audios and passages say especially since sometimes the audios go very fast. Also try to work on your speaking skills just make sure you are able to form conversations on the spot and make connections from what you learn from other cultures in that class!

I don’t think I have taken any AP course I know of before Should I still take it? Can you take like more than 1 AP test the same day? yes! It shows you're interested in the US education system. you can take more than one in the same day, they are only offered once a year though. tests are each $90 USD

hi, I have much more wisdom on time management now as a senior compared to when I was a sophomore. I know it's hard to do at that point but I would say start to figure out what you like to do and instead of taking tons of ap classes,m figure out which ones align with your interests and use your extra time to to pursue an extracurricular!! I think you could handle three ap's and karate, good luck!!

I'd say that if you think you can do it, go for it!! A few people told me not take four AP's last year and I was a little scared at first but I ended up really enjoying all four classes! Sophomore year is a great year to challenge yourself since you don't have the pressure of taking the ACT/SAT and you don't have to worry about touring and applying to colleges yet. Lmk what you decide but I would say go for it!

Sem is really writing heavy but I've heard from friends that it teaches you great research and writing skills. Depending on how the year goes, you will most likely end up only having to study for two actual sit-down tests as sem is mostly completed throughout the year between a group project and a couple essays (I believe).

It was a program through my district, I learned using the textbook they gave me, you could probably self-study over the summer and if you know the material your school would probably let you test out of pre-calculus, you might have to jump through some hoops but it is definitely doable if you are motivated!

@@anthonywilson7041 yes, it depends on the state and city you live in and what your district offers but that sounds like a great program. also, once you get your ap calculus bc score in a little over a year from now, come back and let us know how you did! my school offers the calculus classes in sequential order and most of my friends who went right to bc got 3's. Yes!! Biggest thing for this year was to learn the DBQ rubric in and out. Learn exactly what you need to do to get each point and then practice writing multiple essays. For the LEQ, make sure you know lots of facts and context about the different time periods (I personally didn't have to do this one so I can't give you solid info about it). The same for the FRQ's, just know your content, context and facts about different time periods. For the multiple choice I highly recommend getting a study book to practice with, (I got the ASAP US History book and it was really helpful). Overall just pay attention throughout the year and make sure to take good notes!
