Such a vast improvement on the previous gens. Makes it appear longer, not stubby like before. Audi are the best out there by far. Yes an entry level car, but it lead me to buy a new S3 last year

Great review. I haven't had the chance to test drive one yet. My only real concern is the auto box. Is it jerky when moving in stop start traffic? I will probably go for the 40TFSI version if the gearbox is better, so would be interested to know how you found it compared to a Polo Gti

I currently own a 2016 S Line and have ordered 40TFSI back in August. Can’t wait for it to arrive. I love my current car and drove a few others and wanted to go up a size. Ultimately came back to the A1 because of its small size (I love small hatches) and the standard tech.

Pity the tougher looks aren’t backed up with better performance. No Quattro, No manual, & no S1 model. I’ll stick with my previous Gen 8X manual Quattro S1 thanks. Doesn’t look like Audi are ever going to build anything that good in a small package ever again.

S Line is different again - the Style package is just a collection of popular options (LED headlights, folding mirrors, etc).
