Depending upon your weight the rear shock adjustment for preload is extremely important to handling characteristics but as you say it’s your first bike so there’s a lot to learn for you yet.

Just fyi, you always want to adjust preload on all your bikes to proper sag (usually found in manual) for your rider weight... Proper sag can transform the bike's geometry / handling.

FYI, Benelli is still designed in Italy; it seems like they have a relatively large degree of freedom when you compare a lot of their bikes (especially the exported bikes) to the other QJ group bikes. QJ does manufacturing for them, but I haven't found any real issues with my TNT300. Granted, it also hasn't been that long. I know it'll sound off, but since these bikes are also very popular (at least compared to the US) overseas; check European sites, Indian sites, SE Asian sites, and AliExpress. Of course, be careful with what you find, especially at Ali Express. But there is some good stuff, including fender deletes. A lot of it is the same stuff you'd find on eBay or occasionally Amazon anyway. I do like the way most of Benelli's bikes sound. The TNT300 and TNT600 look and sound gorgeous (especially in Verde); and the TNT135 sounds surprisingly good for a small single -- I think because it does rev a bit higher than most of the other similar ones. That's probably the DOHC. The Leoncino looks good too; and the TRK is interesting but I wish it had a tiny bit more power or was a little bit lighter. Still, I think they're among one of the best values in bikes for almost everything they make. Not the absolute best, but... Well, they overspend on suspension (TNT 300 for example has fully adjustable front and rear; not just preload, and not just the forks!) ; they look great; they tend to sound great; they come with decent rubber; and they have character. But they're not perfect! Power is acceptable in each of their classes, but often a little down. Can't speak on their scoots at all but I do like the way they look for little maxis. E: Accidentally put "Escorted" instead of "Exported" lol
@ExploitGarage
@ExploitGarage 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the suspension is definitely over designed but in no way have I found that to be bad yet. I would recommend this bike over a grom any day after riding multiple groms and the handling is HORRIBLE compared to this.

@@ExploitGarage Oh no, definitely not. Just means you have plenty to work with before you'd need to replace it, IMO! I plan on getting a TNT 135 at some point as my mini moto. I enjoyed the Grom when I had the chance to ride one, but the TNT135 speaks to me more. I just really love that trellis frame. Granted, since I already have a 300, I'm not sure what I plan to get next. I might get a 50cc scoot to do some deliveries on to help pay for my expensive hobbies lol.

Benelli CAN and should be serviced by the dealer you bought it at. A dealer that sells Benelli is also an SSR dealer and has access to OEM parts. I know this because I am a dealer. And they are still designed in Italy but manufactured by the new parent company in China since 2005.

Are you sure the speedo is in mph? Could it be set to kph? I would check owners manual and see if you can change setting. We have a couple guys that ride these here in Denver. Thanks for tge video mate, just to let you know, here in the UK 🇬🇧 the TNT 125CC is only £2200 OTR, my dealer is over road just yards away, which is cool! My choice would be the Keeway RKF 125CC It had a unique engine, the only 1 of its kind on the market! The Benelli S model, 3 Sparkplugs, 12 HP, 128 miles to the gallon, its the 2020 model in the cool 😎 green, same as the Benelli BN125 & the TNT, can't wait to get mine 😀

I put a rubber band on the pass button when I drive at night. I also did a rear sprocket and it seemed to help me out quite a bit even though it wasn't totally aggressive, I believe a 37T. There was a comment here on something that will adjust the readout on the speedo, I ordered a 14t front sprocket becuase I want to do wheelies I might look into the rear as well! The rubber band is a good idea so I don't have to manually hold it haha. And the grom is VERY different, the lighter weight mixed with a standard frame just doesn't make it feel very good at all compared to ours

I just bought a white Benelli TNT and I’m liking it so far, although I’ve only put 100 miles on it so far. Can’t wait till it’d broken in and I can tach it out see how it actually rides. I’ve noticed the front end is a little less than smooth. I actually brought it back to the dealer to see if they could balance the front tire but they said it is what it is. Not that bad though. Have you noticed it with yours? Right around 40 mph, shakity shake It needs 91 or higher octane, but, I think it takes like a full gallon before the 91 is coming out of the gas pump If the person before you used lower octane. Since I only get 1 gallon from the pump on fill up, I think I’m gonna have to fill up a 10 gallon can with 91 and just fill it up at my house.
@ExploitGarage
@ExploitGarage 3 жыл бұрын
I may start doing that with the gas. Pretty good idea. And once you tach it out it's a monster. But no front end vibration I can think of. It's not the most balanced motor out there so there's that.

It's not a con, you can't Google everything, it's a subsidiary, and as such maintains control over design and marketing. Benelli is still headquartered in Italy, it's simply manufactured in China by QJ who now owns the largest share. Which in point of fact, Harley Davidson's got two late model offerings that are QJ also, not to mention a host of Japanese models that out source. I've been riding for twenty years and am tired of the made in China lie. China has in fact made better product than most since early year 2000. You can still get junk out of China, but you can get junk from us too, you simply need to be a conscientious consumer, and make good choices. We need to stop with the cancel culture, because contrary to popular belief- real bikers are better human beings than most in my opinion, let's act like it.

Hey I got some tips for you I've had my Benelli for 6 months almost and I put 5000 miles on it I'll tell you the easiest mods that make the biggest difference first off go to steady garage get the sex machine racing clutch change that change the clutch springs to Grom 60% firmer Springs set a timer on exhaust header and buy an Amazon shorty can that literally made the biggest difference I couldn't believe it those dual exhaust don't give it the full power and as far as Fender delete take it off brighten the brackets back if you wanted to look a little nicer and then don't mess with buying 8 delete bracket for your new plate Mount go to Lowe's I'm get a folding cabinet hinge they have like a spring-loaded one amount that up and then out to the plate it works absolutely amazing and if you ever have to you could just flip it and it flips the plate up if you want to see pictures an idea what I did to mine I can send something also it's not necessary but it definitely gives you more stability in the steering change those handlebars out to a set of pro tapers

I am actually doing the clutch springs right now, video soon, I have a video on how I did my custom license plate mount, and I don't think the dual tips can steal that much power.. Especially if you replace the rest of the exhaust

Cmon bro you wouldn't buy a 125 if your most important requirement is the top speed 😂. The bike is "Grom killer" because it's way cheaper and practically do the same work.
