I did the same last spring and that's when I really begun to love this car. It's really stunning how everyone clears the lane for you. And yes, it's a damn fast car thanks to the genius combination of ICE and E drive. Acceleration feels so easy when the full E-torque kicks in with E-Boost. An amazing car!

Such an interesting car design, with an astronomical level of innovation for drivetrain efficiency. I remember first seeing this car alongside a new NSX and the ALFA 4C, and realizing the i8 is a much more eye catching car than either of them kirsty by watching the people at the autoshow. Though I'd rather have the NSX as a performance car, the i8 would make a great daily driver for the attention seeker.

Yea it's way overpriced, This car is worth 150k after taxes and options and it only has 369hp (With no tuning capabilities because of the small engine). You can get a dodge hellcat for under 60k and tune it to make 1000hp because of the engine and its beefy v8. bmw i8 is only worth realistically 40-50k.

or an amg with an actual v8 that goes faster, for less. BMW i8 is 150K before taxes and options, You can get a dodge hellcat or amg for under 80K and it has all the luxury features. You can actually get the 2020 corvette which has almost double the horsepower for 65k.

Disciple of Shoopy dude I like your point about a Dodge Hellcat but there are flaws with that car man. The gas mileage is absolutely atrocious vs this i8. The reason many rich people buy these is because they don’t necessarily enjoy going fast but rather just want something that looks cool but makes a comfortable, quiet, and economical highway cruiser. Also, if you buy a hellcat, you need to prep the tires in order to put any power down on a street surface, and even if you do, it will still be difficult to do so. The advantage of German engineering is that they made the M8 with over 600hp and AWD that is smart enough to put every single ft-lb of torque down without any wheel spin, and still be able to disconnect that system so you can do lunatic hellcat things as well.

There's a lot of factors that determines the pricing of a car or any product . So a car one of it's own kind with a BMW badge and the maddest styling they have ever done , it's Totally worth it , not my words but of many renounced car journalists . Comparing this to your car or any other car is just ignorance

I was just thinking that. Most of the BMW's driven on this channel are extremely composed above 100 mph. Much as I like the i8, it doesn't seem to be. Run flat tyres and poor road surface ?
