The whole purpose of the seat being so hard is for better feel of the rear traction on corner exit. I would definitely get a spare seat and keep this one for the day you track the thing as it was intended.

Balanced review and down-to-earth tips. Thumbs up review. Have a few questions: 1. Who did you use to flash/tune your ECU? 2. Does ECU flash nullify the factory warranty? 3. Vibrations on the handles and foot pegs: are these excessive above 7K RPM ? I am considering the S1000RR.

Try adjusting the knurled wheel behind the clutch lever to get into neutral easier. I did that with my 2017 s1000rr and it worked .I'm not sure if the new model has that adjustment as it hasn't arrived in Durban south Africa yet
@wcrayger5 жыл бұрын
Nice review. I just bought this bike myself, although in racing red (not a fan of the M color scheme). I have my 600 mile service scheduled for tomorrow, have to knock out my last 150 miles tonight. Couldn't help but burst into laughter when you talk about not being able to find neutral. The struggle to hit neutral is so real, I usually just give up and hold the freaking clutch in until my hand goes numb. I have found that finding neutral coming down from 2nd is a bit easier if you rev slightly, not sure if that's just a fluke or not but I can typically grab neutral right after. Regarding your ECU flash, I'm on the fence about this since if, by chance, it's not actually "diagnostically untraceable", your warranty is voided. How confident are you / Bren Tuning that it actually is untraceable, and how worried are you that your warranty will be voided?

Hey man I'm a pretty experienced motocross rider looking into getting my first street bike. I ride a crf450r and want something with way more power and speed on the roads maybe even for a daily. I just have some questions about this bmw s1000rr when it comes to buying a brand new one. First question is how much insurance is gonna be? I'm 22 years old and I have heard that insurance can be crazy for this bike. But for someone who has a clean driving record under the age of 25 how much would I be looking at exactly? And another question since you gotta do an ecu flash on it does that pretty much throw the warranty out the door for the bike ?
