I have a 2025 on order in Portimaeo Blue and tan interior on order. It should be here in February. It has a gen 3 engine and I heard there were problems with the Gen 3s so I just plan to get the best warranty and go with that.

@@MG-jp5ij Factory warranty should be enough if you are buying the car brand new. Don't buy the extended warranty

Thank you so much for posting this! I’m on the fence on buying a 2024 bmw x3 m40i. I want to take advantage buying it now because the 2025 interior. The new interior looks cheap, every thing digital and big wavy screen. I love the classic look of your car all the way to the 2024. Do you think it’s worth buying new and get a good deal with warranty or get used because the value drops down fast over time? I plan on keeping it for long time and I stay on top of maintenance. Just want to hear your recommendations? Thank you again for posting and representing NY! Stay safe bro.

Appreciate it! Love the long comment, haha. Feel free to shoot out any more questions: 1. Agreed 2025 looks weird with all the screens and new design. We'll have to see if the BMW fanboys will fall to liking it (similar to the nostril M3/M4s). Also being a first year model, I wouldn't recommend it for any manufacturer 2. If you want to run the car into the ground, buying used and staying on top of maintenance is the better choice. Financially speaking, you save 20k from buying a off-lease car. Putting that 20k towards maintenance will be cheaper than buying brand new AND THEN doing maintenance. If you are worried about prior ownership, take your time in searching. I looked for 8 months across the X3 M40 and M340. Scan pictures for window sticker/options and Carfax for oil changes. Find ones with detailed services from BMW. Being from NY, look in the southern states - usually more highway mileage, an older population (thus better maintenance and doesn't drive as hard), and less salt on the roads. IF you got deep pockets, buy a new one! At the end of the day, it's your money haha

Great vidoe. How do yoy like the car now ? Any issues with it ? Im thinking bout getting the same model year

Great for my needs. The only issues I had were addressed in the video! Super smooth and comfortable ride, but I miss the sedan sometimes

@DrivnByBrian yeah true that. Sedans handle much nicer 👌 of coures a bmw over my hyundai sonata 😆 I just like the room and Comfort the seats are very firm with x3 and most bmw long rides like 3 hours plus Does your back start hurting?What are the seats are comfortable throughout the whole trip? I sat in a few older X5 models seats felt hard

@@paulrakis its a love hate relationship. i like that it is more sporty, so i don't mind the harder seats and side pieces to hold me in place. on longer road trips it does get hard at times. i have to slouch a little haha

Not sure where you live but I experience winter here with all year potholes. How low is the car with the lowering springs? Any bottoming out or going slow?
@DrivnByBrian2 ай бұрын
im in NYC - we have some bad potholes, and a few inches of snow every year. from stock ride height, the car drops 1-2inches. It still has plenty of clearance, i've never needed to slow down for a bump or slope. only thing i would worry about is driving with 21in wheels in the winter

Great video, was looking at the same model but 2018, is that to old? And just don't know about bms, is this car specially with the b58 engile reliable? Thanks
@DrivnByBrian25 күн бұрын
1. 2018 is the first year of the new X3, i'd avoid. 2020 is the redesign, and 2021 has the highest reliability rating in Consumer Reports. B58 has been proven to be reliable! since you are buying used, make sure to do your own pre-purchase inspection as small dealerships and private sellers skimp out on maintenance (sometimes)

Dude, you should worry more about the potholes on the NYC highways than adding more power.

You shouldnt need dme unlock if the car was produced before june 2020
@DrivnByBrian2 ай бұрын
I got this confused too. I originally thought the bench unlock happens with I flash with MHD. A DME unlock is ALWAYS needed. There are 2 methods: 1) bench unlock, and 2) FENTMO unlock. Bench can be done at shops like BMCoding for $300. FENTMO requires you to ship it to Europe and costs a lot more. After you unlock the DME, you can tune the car via BM3 or MHD. Its a 2 step process!
