Love your approach. You are fearless and handle challenges in a calm manner. The 10mm nuts are a pain, as you stated, getting them off sucks and the passenger side double sucks. I found that using a zip tie through the bottom hole on the inner fender hooked on the emergency brake helps keep it out of the way. I couldn't reach the 10mm nuts (big hands don't help). What worked for me was a 1/4 inch deep socket attached to a pneumatic air wrench.

Awesome video. Very detailed and organized. I just installed a spoiler on my C8. On that upper passenger side nut I used a wrench to loosen it and a 1/4'" x 12" flexible extension on a cordless screw driver to spin it off. Also I did it barefoot, couldn't find my flip flops. LOL

Looks great! Love what you did with black top as well, I plan to do the same with mine (probably late 2021 delivery). I saw an all white body colored C8 yesterday, didn't care for the looks, so great decision on your part. IMHO I think strips down the middle (not on the black) would look great but I wouldn't go with black. Hope you find a ground effects package that you like, I'd love to see how that turns out!

I'm going to be doing the same thing-in a couple weeks after taking delivery of my '23 C8 - apparently when GM did the build they'd run out of high wings so I'll be swapping the Z51 wing for the aftermarket high wing - thx., Larry

We’ll, that one 10mm nut high up above the wheel well on the passenger side is a tough. Would recommend a flex hex rachet/open end wrench. Works well, but takes about a 100 1/8th turns with single or double click on the rachet each turn. If one could find a long really flexible extension for a 10mm drive, that might work too. Tip: if working from the garage floor with rear end jacked up, a good stadium seat to set on and brace your back against while having both arms up inside the wheel well saves neck and back muscles. Good tip on separating the screws, nuts and 10mm and 7mm by location. Could get confusing otherwise.

Great vid. The high wing definitely looks better, I ordered mine with the HW and they said it won't be delivered with it I may have to wait up to 6 weeks, oh well, first world problems. I had a White C7 Z51 with carbon flash mirrors, spoiler, wheels and body accents, white definitely needs the black accessory pieces to have the contrast and make it pop.

Sometimes you can use a straight edge screw driver and separate the clip that way

If you did it straight through, it shouldn’t take you more then 2 hrs. Everything including filming and explaining took about 3 hrs. Good luck!

You know, I was looking into these and I just don’t like how most of the installs are with zip ties. But I’ll look into this one if they have better way to mount and install it. I know zip ties would be better than a busted radiator but the zip ties will also wear into piece of the bumper grill that you attach it too. We just need a better solution to the problem.
