Own 2 of the 400s, they are identical to the 500s, just a smaller jug and piston. Our 400s have over 500 miles on each in about 7 mos of riding. Put tractor supply atv winch on both, bolted right in with the included bracket. These things are a beast, i even have plowed dirt and snow with them using cabelas atv plow kit. The only, and i mean only complaint is they run a little hot against the bottom of the gas tank. I am going to add some heat shielding to it. The pre -2019s had some complaints of shifting and the brake. On the mine you dont have to put the brake on to shift. Also, dealer prep of shifter adjustment is important. One of mine was stiff and hard to shift, other was perfect. I pulled the side cover and make a slight adjustment to the shift rod. No issues at all. I do highly recommend these machines, and we had hondas growing up. I do wish i opted for the esp, but the 400s does have the fuse and wiring for esp.

Atv'r here. I just got a 2020 cforce 600 gray with moose plow. So far I am very happy. I also own a 2014 foreman 500 eps manual shift that is a great machine. I bought the cfmoto for around the house and an extra machine for someone who wants to tag along and for the biggest reason is for the price. I could not pass up and the plow was free and installed. I am really happy with my purchases on both..

We actually enjoyed the Defender XMR as our all around favorite machine. It just did everything so well. You can see some videos of us driving them both on my Old Channel "LC Powersports" I ended up having a job change and had to sell everything and move away. and now i ended up going back to ATVs and trying out the CFMotos. My dream atv is still a Canam Outlander 850 XMR. Go check out LC Powersports older videos and tell me what you think, I left the channel in the hands of one of my best friends and he is keeping it going. Great video - thank you VERY much! I live in NH (live free or die!) with THOUSANDS of miles of interconnected trails so I NEED to get an ATV now! My dealer talks these up as an inexpensive alternative (kind of like KIA and Hyundai) back in the day - now they are considered exceptional cars. I think CFMOTO will end up the same way. Like Hyundai's 100k mile warranty, CFMOTO is trying to get into the market against the big boys!

Mate, thought your review was awesome and well detailed. I'm in Australia 🇦🇺 and have had my CFmoto520 foe like 6 months now.....Only bought one of these as Australia and the crap government crap rulings, won't allow the 6 main quads Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, CanAm & Polaris to import quads to Australia anymore due to safety. CFMOTO complied by putting a roll-over prote tion know on the back - stupid idea!! Would love to check out some awesome mods you giys always do in the states, to like beef em up a littlw bit, mainly clearance, sound, snorkel amd better power/mufflers. Had issues already with mine.....just stalled out on me, guessing spark issue as the tester went over it and came up with no error or problems......Butane, to get to anything, you gotta pull off a lot plastic.😳🤦‍♂️😤🤷🏻‍♂️🤣 Would love to find the plug🤣🤦‍♂️

The wiring does NOT unplug from the front of the 4x4 actuator, you have to follow the wire to the body plug up under the fender. The actuator is a weak point, I just replaced mine after a little more than a year, with taxes it was about $300 in Arkansas. That is the only problem I have had so far, for the money it is a great machine.

@@RealTalkPowersports nice it will be cool to compare the little and the grand brother! BTW what do you think of a drag race in low gear too? I am not sure at all if it will be usefull but usually nobody on internet do a speed test in low so we don't know top speed of the low gear (for exemple my atv go to 45km/h max rpm and I find it's not enough cause I often ride in low when crawling and 45km/h is really not that much (not a big deal, but need to swap gear for every small straight road), so if you can tell us what the top speed is, it can be cool :) )

I know polaris comes with their shocks set at the softest setting not sure where these r set. The 800xc with the rear trailing arms provides a smoother ride then polaris. According to my dad and both sons. I can’t ride anymore but trust their opinion since we have two polaris and one cf moto. When I take it in for the break in service I may have them soften the shocks since my boys ride it and they’re both just over 100lbs.

The CV on the wheel side snapped in half as soon as I locked the diff and gave it some throttle, rocking side to side. When the bike was high centered I guess the axle angles were too extreme and she snapped. Watch ur new 800 bud, idk if the CV axles are stiffer then the ones on the 500 or 600. Stopped in at a CFMoto dealership last week and was really impressed with what you get for the price. Up here the CFMoto 600 is about $4000 cheaper than the Yamaha Kodiak I was looking at. And I looked the CFMoto over real good at the dealership for about an hour. This video and all your others has me about 99% sure I’m getting the CForce 600. Looking forward to the tear down of the 600. One question though. I know the hp is about 40.8 but can’t find how much torque it produces. If you can find out and answer I would appreciate it. Great videos...Just purchased a 2020 CFmoto 500 and love it. I currently have 31 miles on it and just noticed I was leaking coolant. Coolant was at the bottom mark on the reservoir. How do I add coolant? Do I need to take the front rack off and how do I pull the plastic cover off to reveal the filler? Many thanks in advance and keep the videos coming!!!
@RealTalkPowersports
@RealTalkPowersports 4 жыл бұрын
You dont have to take the rack off... Just the front center hood piece. Just be careful not to break the plastic tabs pulling it off. So take one hand and place it over the CFMOTO logo on the front and pull it out towards you just enough to make it pop out of the rubber grommet. Now push the whole center hood piece back towards the handlebars and then lift up. That should do it. (thats the only fragile piece i have found on the cforce 500 is that center hood piece tabs. There are 3 on each side holding it in place.

I'm still trying to decide which one to buy CFMOTO 500 or Polaris Sportsman 450 or the 570. A Dealer (60-70 miles away) finely got some Moto's in , I hope to go look at one(500) this week I think name brand is best way to go, But I have to say, I really like the looks of the CFMOTO 500 over the Polaris Sportsman 450 or the 570. Any thoughts would be appreciated .....

Well I will say that the sportsman is a very soft plush ride.. But you will get power steering and a factory installed winch and and comes with a very good cvtech clutch system. All of that and still save money over the Polaris. We have beat on them hard and they hold up. And they come with a one year warranty from factory

@@RealTalkPowersports Some Good points for sure to think about. I know the Sportsman Dealer and He is giving me good deal on either one, And He is maybe 25--30 miles away...But Like I said, I really like the looks of the Moto over the Sportsman. Thanks for the input! Just have to think it more....

Do you have a video about back firing? My 400 just started it. I have over 800 miles on it. It’s a 2020. It’s not a loud back fire but it will do a small jerk when it does it, then go on driving normal. It did it 3 times during my 1 and a half hr ride yesterday. I use a additive in the gas. Could it be the gas? Spark plug? Thanks in advance.

I have the 500 HO and the 450..both 2018..they do run hot. My son took the 500 out for a full day yesterday and said it overheated and he said the gas consumption was horrible. I've never gone on a ride like he did so I am in the process of changing the violent and as far as the gas..I don't have a clue. We have never had an issue with it using gas like that..it was around 95 degrees yesterday so idk if the heat had anything to do with it Anyone else have this year and model?

I would route them along the side where the CVT belt cover is at.. but about the cover ofcourse behind the plastic body panels. Once u get the bolts out. Good video, I have been wondering about the quality. I heard the skid plates are terrible, is that true and what do you recommend? Also heard the transmission sticks, any particular reason or model years for this issue or tips for dealing with this issue? Really thinking about getting one of these.
@RealTalkPowersports
@RealTalkPowersports 4 жыл бұрын
I dont know why so many people think they have to replace the skid plates. They just like any other manufacturer; if you run over a stump or sharp rock and it catches in the right place, it is going to RIP it or tear it. I've never had issues with skid plates. And with the CVT swaping gears; you have to push the foot break down and shift the gears .. which is no problem. I have no regrets with mine
