I just bought a 2019 GMC Savana 2500 cargo van and I absolutely love it! It's set up for overland camping...so much room for all of my gear, including a Coleman cot, two chest of drawers, Jackery to power the lights and fan, a small portable refrigerator, a portable loo, Mr. Heater Buddy for the cold nights, velcro no see-um mesh for the sliding side door and back doors, curtains side and back, two gallon water dispenser and an organized tool wall: shovels, ground rake, axe, Silky saw, mechanics tools, recovery and breakdown kits. I also installed indoor/outdoor carpet for comfort. Hopefully within the next year I will be on the road to visit every lower 48 states and a trip to Alaska. Future plans include a Webasto dry heating system (gas version), insulation and 4X4 conversion with lift, Method wheels and Goodyear KO2 tires, maybe 33's. Having so much fun with this van conversion and that Vortec V8 engine is awesome!

I had 3 uncles with large vans and I remember camping, beach trips , etc, I’ve always loved full sized vans and thinking about getting me one now , especially with grandkids now road trips are alot easier in one of these rather than a suburban or Escalade. Beautiful van Chevy!

@@markshepherd6504 we've had our since January. No regrets. We put about 17K miles on it this year. There are a few glitches on ours that we've dealt with. For example, the center console cover latches were weak. The ride of the van is curious...because we don't tow anything, nor do we have a heavy load when we travel...occasionally we feel the 'hardness' of the suspension. Hard to explain. Anyway, we took it to a suspension specialist and after lengthy discussions with them, our best bet is to wait for a better shock system to be manufactured that fits this 2020 van, as its too new and there was nothing out there. Air suspension is a side option, but after the mechanic weighed the pros and cons of that option, we all agreed to just wait it out.

I’ve owned 4 Chevrolet conversion vans. I loved them all . However I would like to to see some major interior design changes and engine upgrades. I now own a SUV. When and if GM does make major changes, if I like them, I’ll go back to the van! I miss the space.

Exactly what I thought. It’s nice on the outside and the front looks very mean but the interior is lacking compared to the older conversion vans. Personally I own a 95 g20 conversion van and I engine swapped it it has 30k miles haha and my dash alone is much nicer than this and it’s original so once there’s better and more interior designs and innovation I’ll start payments on a new one

Very nice work. I have a 2021 Chevy Express Cargo. In between the visors, overhead, there is a blank space that is almost a square shape. It appears to be hollow behind it. I want to put a monitor there for sideview, backup cameras. Do you know if that is hollow and is it a big job to remove the headliner to get in there?

Every single day, I am reminded how "old" I am. I am THE guy telling you to, "Get the FUCK off my lawn!" "What?" I remember looking at magazines in the 1970's & 1980's of conversion vans that were smaller than this, that had a little, under the counter refrigerator, a small, galley type sink, and some even had a one or two burner stove. Useful shit. Something you could kind of 'live' in for a weekend. Everything nowadays seems to me to be, "style over substance". I don't "get" who is the intended customer for this van? If I wanted to take a group of people to a casino or bachelor party, or whatever, I'd be better off with one of those Mercedes Sprinter vans (they're larger). If I wanted to go camping, I'd be better off with a small RV (for roughly the same gas mileage, I'd get some semblance of a kitchen AND a toilet), and if I wanted to go Overlanding, I'd be better off with a 4WD SUV with a sleeping bag in the back and a portable refrigerator. I don't see what this thing offers....................besides "illuminated cupholders", "Apple Car Play", an outlet plug for a video game, maybe a heated steering wheel, and GM's world-renowned craftsmanship. Sarcasm: OFF. Seems like a pure case of, "style over substance". I don't get it.
