What is the benefit of ceramic coating the paint protection film? Doesn't the film already protect the car?

Good question. Adding a ceramic coating on top of paint protection film is not to protect the paint, but make the maintenance and care of the vehicle much easier. Because of the slickness, and hydrophobic properties of the ceramic coating, the vehicle will stay cleaner as it does not allow stuff to stick to the surface as easily as a non-treated surface. Also removing any kind of bugs, brake dust, etc. are substantially easier with a any surface treated with a ceramic coating vs. a non treated surface. This vehicle had ceramic coating applied to many surfaces where there was no paint protection film applied such as the plastic trim, glass, wheel faces, barrels, and calipers.

I'm curious, did you guys make templates first to get the panels sizes and order it pre-cut, or did you cut the Xpel sizes directly from panels yourselves?

Great question. As an authorized Xpel Dealer, we have access to a massive database of patterns. The process always begins with a pattern. We then customize the pattern to maximize coverage/protection for the specific vehicle we're working on. We've done over 10,000 PPF installations on just about every make/model out there. This experience allows us create efficient coverage packages and provide only the highest quality installations. Once we've got the pattern optimized, we print it using a large plotter onsite.

Do you use new CORVETTE letters on the rear bumper? If not, how were they reattached? Did you have to cut out new VHB tape to attach them ?

Easily $7k - $8k. Overkill. Only the front of the car and rocker panels need PPF. That should cost no more than $3k.
