I agree with everything you said. Great video and you did a great job on it.

Found this video because I am looking into doing something like this with the keyless ignition but hoping to find a solution like how the BMW bikes work where you keep the key fob in your pocket and you can just start the bike. My actual question is, what brake fluid are you running or did you just happen to have an old bottle of ATE Super Blue Brake Fluid? I used to run that for years until it became illegal and then couldn't find it anywhere unless its on eBay but those bottles are like 10+ yrs old so that makes me nervous

I used to live in Japan, so I brought some red and blue brake fluid back with me. Looks good for show, but not what I use on the track.

Hey, how you get those two bolts out in order to take the whole switch assembly out and what red spacer is that you used? Thanks
@jaimestigers37002 жыл бұрын
I believe I used vice grips and the spacers were included.
@jaimestigers37002 жыл бұрын
Sorry, the spacers came with the phone mount shown on the video. If you are not using that mount, you will not need spacers. Only original hardware.

@@jaimestigers3700 I need to reuse the bolt to use this gopro mount, so visegrip doesn't damage the thread? Thanks
@jaimestigers37002 жыл бұрын
@@jieevo grip the bolts nice and low where there are no threads. They are hard to remove, but they do come out.

Also noticed that ducati bike has apart number KS04 , don't know if that is an updated version. But thank you for the information, now I know why when I seen others buttons all I seem was the red button under the cover. How you did it should be the only way to do it. Looks good. Thanks for the information!

Thanks! I like the way it came out; nice and clean... and possibly the only way.

@@jaimestigers3700 I had got a response today, the KS04(ducatibike) KS021( jetprime) is for 21+ perhaps due to different ECU or plug? Don't know but the same problem still exist.

The two bolts that hold the ignition portion to the bike…what tool did you use to get those out? Have to send in ignition to get keys cut 😩
@jaimestigers3700 Жыл бұрын
I can't remember for sure. I might have used some vise grips.

Hey bud, what kind of phone mount ,do you have ? I need those 2 spacers. Right now the OEM bolt is too long. Thanks

Hey bro what gps system are you running? Garmin? Did you design that gps mount yourself?
@jaimestigers37002 жыл бұрын
It is a Garmin GPS. I purchased the mount online. There are several sites selling them. However, I now have the ball-mount in the center of the Triple Tree for a lower profile and no longer use the mount on the video.

So no one in the market makes one for a 2020 yet?
@jaimestigers37003 жыл бұрын
I don't think there is a specific one for the 2020+ models. On a race/track bike, they don't typically care how it looks as long as it's functional.

@@jaimestigers3700 lol, I feel you. But I care for both. Thanks again for the video!

I have a question, what if you placed the key holder somewhere accessible, that way you could simply remove the key when you hop off your bike and without the key in the holder, it wouldn’t work. Please get back to me
@jaimestigers370010 ай бұрын
I guess you can place the key holder somewhere you can access the key easier so you can remove it when not in use. However, it kind of defeats the purpose of this kit. The whole idea is not to use a key. This conversion is typically done for track use purposes. Personally, I don't like using a key. I have other ways to secure the bike if it's left unattended.
@FeRoCiiOuS10 ай бұрын
@@jaimestigers3700 someone on the forums wired it to the tail of the v4 after having built an extension. It’s nice to have that option of removing the key if needed. Great thorough video, thank you.

Does this need to be programmed in at a dealer, or can I just do this at home?

I’m confused can anyone just sit on your bike and start it and drive away while you’re buying fuel at a gas station?

Yes, but you buy fuel at the pump, so you don't have to ever leave your bike.
