It’s FDRS I believe it stands for Ford Diagnostic Repair System you can get it as a consumer but it’s pretty pricey I work for the dealership and they provide it. Look up some videos online if you are interested in getting one. The cheaper route would be to have a dealer program it after you replace it.

If mine is the XLT version, it does not have AWD and the same error appeared, is it the same fault?

I would not think it is the same fault. All of them that I have seen have been AWD

I don’t know how much the tow kit is probably around $1500 and around 4 hours to install.

@@josequinones4316 On a Ford Escape it is not in the same location. Ford escape has a little different operating system does not use a AWD module

@@JeremySierra depends on mileage and how old the vehicle is. Ford only offers powertrain warranty 5 years 60k miles.

How isn’t it a recall? I’m not sure if it’s due to the same issue but the last 2 days since that message has came on my car will bog down like it’s going to shut off it’s never done it until these messages appeared 🥲
