2020 F350 Superduty with CM TM Deluxe walk around!

Today we take a look at my CM TM Deluxe Truck bed and some of the options i got on it. We look at some of the issues i had when it was installed and how i fixed them.

The 2020s have separate brake and turn signal lights. I have not messed with it yet but you may be able to turn that off with ForScan and make the turn and brakes in the same circuit.

may i suggest mounting your fire extinguisher to the headache rack on the driver side. easier access and such is my though process on it

What length is that CM box? 8'6" or 9'4"?

The lights because they are led the dealer has to go in and change the parameters on the body control unit to accept led lighting

What kind of fuel tank did you add and how does it fit in that bed? Curious what it looks like?

What did you do about the lane change sensors in the factory tail lights. Installing the same bed on a 2020 tomorrow. Not sure what to do about them

If you are talking about the lane change sensor that vibrates the steering wheel when you go over the line, then that actually still works perfectly. That part uses a camera behind your rear view mirror to see the lanes. For the blind spot and cross traffic alert sensors I had to disable them with a program called fore scan. I have a video on that program too.

I did not. The sensors are in the factory rear lights. I still have never had a problem to this day with it since I disabled it in the computer though.

I’m about to put the same bed on my 2020 f450 pickup. I had the dealership turn the bliss system off already Did the bed just drop in place or was there fab work needed? And did you get the lighting adapter from CM to “plug and play” the lighting? Did the front boxes come with shelves? Mine didn’t.

It did have the lighting adapter. But I ended up having to wire it myself to make it work correctly. All that had to be added was some plate steel to bolt through on the frame. The front shelves were a factory add on option. I ended up making my own rear shelf on one side though since they didn’t offer any for the rear.

Probably around 2000 lbs with no tools in it.

Just a curious question if you planned on doing the best deal right away why not buy a cab and chassis and get a 450 suspension and the flatframe and plug and play lights all the the cost lower than a standard pickup

The chassis cabs have derated power and derated tow ratings. I also wanted the Lariat ultimate package and the led lights and power steps. All of that can not be added on the chassis cabs.

Also cab and chassis use different suspension and they are super stiff and lots of thick leaf springs rough ride

Looks great! But all those issues would have been taken care of at a shop that regularly installs these beds, vs a fab shop. I've worked for both, but a CM dealer/installer would have made sure all those issues, or needs, were addressed before you drove it home

I wish that would have been the case for me. I had the CM dealer do the install and that is what I got.
