Awesome video, how does it compare to the cobra?! Thanks for the content

Thanks for watching and your kind words! Great question you ask. The GT350 and Cobra are evil twins but polar opposites. The Cobra as I had it configured with a Roush 427 had a lot more torque the minute that you hit the throttle at any rpm but then required a shift around 6,250 rpm or so (you could rev it higher but I didn't want to risk it). That hit of torque happens pretty much at any gear and any rpm. However, the GT350 needs the right gear and around 3,500 rpm to start to breathe and make power and its long gears and high revving motor up to 8,250 rpm means that it just keeps pulling and revving and revving with fewer shifts during a pull. But it doesn't plaster you back in the seat like a Cobra does. They are both very responsive to turning inputs. At higher speeds, I prefer the GT350 due to its longer wheel base, but this was just more comfort on my part as the Cobra never did anything that made me feel that way other than being so responsive to steering inputs at higher speeds. I'll do my best to chat about these points in an upcoming video. Extremely good question because they both perform so well, but in totally different ways.

Hey man, Love the 350R! Question for you - do you have any thoughts or recommendations on weight reduction wheels for the standard 350? I feel like an idiot for not buying the R when I had the chance.

Hi! Thanks for watching! I haven't experimented with wheels and tires much with these cars, however, I know someone who has done a lot of that with good success: AutoFanatic on KZbin. Back when he had his nonR GT350 he tried a lot of different combinations with good success. It is so hard when an opportunity presents itself to walk through, but the regular GT350 has some cool advantages over the R version such as no massive wing in the rear window, back seats that are functional, and nice looking wheels that don't cost 5K if you taco one. :) You have a real gem of a car and one that will be iconic in my opinion for years to come. Best wishes with the search. Watch some of the videos by AutoFanatic and message him if you aren't finding the information that you are looking for. Best wishes with your search!
