a coincidence that I've only recently gotten back to her. haven't played her since her release, but I've always been really drawn by this character since frozen throne. there's so much complexity underneath her insatiable desire for vengeance. to me she's kind of an antihero that most others overlook

I believe the reason that blade dance is taken over the quest is that it's more consistent since stacking the quest is difficult, and the math on the damage according to fan is comparable to doing the quest

I go the shadow armor talent at 13. After 16, it applies the 20% damage to my w after I teleport for the engage. I also pop naisha's right before I blink to get a naisha's bounce with the 20% damage bonus immediately. It's just a quick amount of burst, giving you effectively 3+ (depending on how many people you tether) auto attacks with the damage buff instantly. With sanctification, you can stand still and keep auto attacking to get more naisha bounces which maintains the armor bonus and continue landing fan of knives resets. You can easily do 2k dps at level 20 assuming you keep landing resets

If you are playing solo at plat or lower ranks i prefer w build. Same talents only 1 w quest and 16 w talent. You can do a lot more dmg lose 0 wawe cleare. Only cant do bruizer camp at lvl 1. But if you learn how to stack quest you became verry powerfull.

Focus on fan resets. It's the only way to get consistent damage

@@Babjengi yeas but taking those 2 w talents you dont lose q dmg and you just have more potensional burst (you can do almost 2000 dmg only with w.). So if you are playing not in team it is good to have ability to do something without good followup.

I owned with Maiev in the original WC3 DOTA Mod. She plays different in HOTS though. The original fan of knives has AOE effect

Very nice coincidence that I have got Maiev in a loot box yesterday! I rarely play melee assassins, but I think Maiev is one of the most annoying heroes in the game, so maybe I'll give her a try. This video was particularly good. Yes, I'm a captive fan, but the Maiev video was even better than usual, as you explained several important details (don't be hungry for kills in the early game, but rather abuse your waveclear; look for good trap spots; practice this or that with Maiev; etc.) I always felt Maiev was a "cancerous" hero with a high skill cap, but since I never played with her, I never could really point my finger to why. Your video not only explained that but motivated me to play with her, even though she's a hard hero and belongs in the only role I'm bad at (melee assassins). Thanks a lot! Also, it's always interesting to see how even matches look a lot like each other. When there's a big skill difference, the higher-skilled enemy will just play recklessly, take a lot of risks and reap the benefits by closing the game around level 13 or 16 at most. When both teams are even-matched, regardless of whether they're both bad or both the best in the world, they'll switch to a safer, more calculated playstyle.

Idk if this match was the best example to clearly show of good maiev plays i think the overall Teamplay outshines maiev alot so ist best to have a good and fitting team with maiev :D
