That method of threading the bungee UP through the scupper holes does not seem practical when IN the water and wanting to wheel-up to head home. What am I missing?

It isn't difficult feeling for the scupper holes. The cart under the kayak gives a slight elevation but yes your arms do get wet feeding the bungee through. Not a deal breaker for me personally. My previous method was unloading gear, turning the yak on its side and inserting the cart.
