I test drove this car and man was it fun. All the cool features and even got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic where the brake hold came in handy. Also had blind spot cameras activated by the turn signals which was my favorite feature so underrated

The sport touring has things that the other civics don't have like remote start, heated seats, power seats, sunroof etc. It's still fun to drive but you get all the options so it's easy to live with too.

I’m sorry but the Hyundai’s 3 door design is tacky. Make it a four door. Also, something about the Civic interior and exterior looks nicer. I think both are solid choices though. Just preference.

The 2 reasons I'd get this over the type r is the same as why I'd get the 1.5t Accord over the 2.0t. 1 I'm not out street racing randoms, and 2 I drive about 5 to 6 hundred miles a week and the savings at the pump is worth it + it's not a bad cad at all.😁

I leased a 2017 and unfortunately could not keep it at the end due to job loss from the pandemic. Great car. I don’t think the Veloster being a little faster is a make or break for which car I’d choose. All my Honda’s have been very good to me.

Michael Ramos Really low rates like 0.0%-1.9% are put out by manufacturers (and their in house finance division) to move cars of the dealer lots...they are losing money on them. To even get those rates, you have to have top tier credit scores.

I got my son a used Civic. It's great. This one is much better. My previous Honda Accord was the most reliable car I ever owned. Looks like the Civic will get there too. I am sure the CVT is the best in the business.

After 4 months of driving my sport touring! I absolutely love it! The gas mileage on this car is incredible! it’s not the fastest, but if that’s a real problem for you, you can tune the turbo for a little more juice! Sacrifice mileage for speed.

Not sure about the Civic but the Honda CRV had a volume knob added in 2017. Not a big deal anymore and never was a big deal because there is a volume control on the steering wheel, which by the way is easier to use than reaching over to the much desired new and improved other volume knob. Don't mean to take it out on you. I just can't figure out why all you reviewers still need to point this out.

I’m checking out this baby! I’m 54 and love the manual. My son’s both got me in to this. I always drive manual and not ready to give up with an hour commute (110 mile round trip) on 5 north & south! This baby looks awesome to me so I probably pull the trigger on this one on a week or so! Good sales now. My ‘04 VW turbo Jetta with sunroof is just begun to cause me troubles. I love this car and so sad to let go! I’m the original owner 🤔

I bought the sport hatch @ 19k for my work/daily driver commuter. Part of my drive is a nice twisty lake road. The car eats it up like crazy and is limited by tires. It definitively needs 75hp bump, but I average 36mpg real driving averaging 750miles per week on it. Recurring theme in all my cars is paint is super soft and starts to show small rock chips pretty early. If I was paying as much for a touring I’d just pick up the Acura for a bit more luxury and bump in power.

@@rigoeats3654 I debated doing ktuner for awhile. I’ve had 3 different timed cars. EVOX, S60R Volvo, and a 2016 Mustang GT. Neve had issues when any of those, but they weren’t the daily diver work car. Id worry about reliability. As far as the R just cost to much to put 750 miles a week on. To mice of a car to trash out.

The thing that pushed me to the civic was the fact that they're so similar in every way except the civic gives you better trunk size better interior size and the car overall is not that much bigger. Everything else was just marginally different.

I have the civic sport hatch with most of the touring options, sonic grey like the color here but with a 6 speed manual I’m still able to reach 42 mpg on the highway driving in 6th gear… you can have both power and economy if you know how to drive aggressively versus economically.

I got a 2020 sport hatchback 6mt and its great..let's be practical, fun to drive great gas mileage lots of room for 24000,here in nj we don't get alot of time to go 80 in 2.5 seconds...honda did a great job on this platform, and truthfully I think the velostar is quite ugly...yes honda fan

Ray Hunt Like your review on the Civic here in the UK we get a 1.0 turbo with 126 hp which doesn't sound much but is quite good. I own one with the CVT and it is great to drive and has loads of safety feachers as standard.

Most of these features are on the touring package. The civic sport hatch is really basic on the interior. Cloth seats, no heated seats, no cluster cusomization, no moonroof, tiny infotainment screen. Ect.

I bought a 6speed manual one. However if you can’t bring yourself to drive a stick because you’re missing a leg or are a woman or something the CVT is actually really a competent transmission. It’s not jarring to someone who isn’t used to a CVT and the fake shifting actually made it feel like it had gears. Either way it’s a really refined car

Other wise if the only things they have in common is the price let's compare them with a BMW motorbike or a Fiat 500 Electric. You see it doesn't make sense.

@@alekyap1312 look at the car for what it is internally, si and hatch both 1.5T with the si putting out 205hp and the hatch even less then that. The N and R are both 2.0T cars that aren’t too far off from each other speaking from a power train perspective/active adjustable suspension. With all the shit that comes with the N or the R it’s obviously aimed at performance while the hatch is aimed at comfort.

If I were still a single guy with no kids, I'd get the Veloster N no question. However I'm married with two kids and my Civic Si gives me a smidge of fun with 4 door practically. By the way, I paid $24k out the door for my Si brand new; dealers are willing to negotiate the sticker. Now if Hyundai ever decides to bring the i30n to the US, all bets are off.

For $30K, this car is a joke. Lane Watch is worthless. Why no blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert? CVT trans and small displacement, turbocharged motor means diminished reliability. Might as well buy a Prius.

For 30k you might be able to afford the small size Tesla for about 34k-35k I believe.. but for me I bought just the Sport hatchback model and performance wise same thing without all the electrical power seats, heated etc.. I can manage driving this car without that electrical stuff. Only thing I miss is the camera to switch lanes. It's all good though just look over your shoulders and drive safe to switch lanes. Other then that, for 23k with turbo and plenty of space for a hatch, I really like to save money and bought Civic Sport hatchback over the touring..

Fastest? If I was 18 maybe. You aren't. It's money for a car. 30,000 dollars. The average Joe Sixpack and Sally Housecoat doesnr have 30,000 to spend on a fast zippy weekend car. I so hope that is more true than ever now. Tired of this leisure spending due to deregulation. Now we will see who buys these, when they can't afford food. Nobody should buy or drive a Honda or Hyundai in this class for "sport". Only reviewers want zippy fast cheap hatchbacks. It's why the Civic Sedan and all the other sedan options outsell "hot hatches" by far. The money isn't in teenagers. It's upwardly mobile or older human animals. Yes, make them sportier, not just fun to drive. I have raced and still don't want a manual to drive in traffic. Also, safety is an issue with every moron buying a tank of a vehicle and having a 3rd grade education. (Purposely) Try stopping one of those.

I bought the 2020 sport hatch model not the touring just to drive around and to work. For 23k it's pretty much the same thing without electrical stuff like power seats etc.. to tell you the truth I rather not spend the extra 6-7k. I love it and it's very roomy and comfortable ride with the exact horsepower it's better IMO.

I would go Veloster N all day. The Civic is the ugliest car currently in production. Especially that ugly Civic Type R variant. Then there is the oil dillusion issue on the 1.5T engine. Looks like your viewers are Honda fanboys though so this argument falls on deaf ears
