Does the M8 screws insert the bolt holes of car body smoothly? Mine is getting blocked after inserting 1 or 2 patch. So the stands are not even being tight. Do I need to drill it? Would it break the car body or fuel tank?

I bought the exact same runningboards for my 2020 and I did not have to cut anything. He bolted right up.

Is this the chrome one? Do you know if the mounting holes would be the same as in the 2021 Honda Ridgeline sis they habe the save platform? Thank you and nice Pilot! 😀

Yes. It’s the oem chrome. I’m not sure about the mounting holes. I can take pictures and measurement for you tomorrow if you want.

Does the bottom illuminate when the doors open?

I bought those for my 2019 Pilot touring. It looked fantastic but it’s a pain in the ass to install the connections. I had to take it to the dealership. Now I changed for a 2020 special edition. Since it have the black trims, the illuminated bottom have a chrome metal, so it doesn’t match

Hi! Sorry I don’t use the automatic car wash yet. I’m still excited washing manually. It may or may not hit the rail.

Great video! Tons of help. I just ordered those for my 2020 pilot. Thanks for the heads up on cutting out the tabs. It will let me install them immediately. Did you torque your bolts to spec or just tighten them as you saw fit??

to be honest it is an ugly and useless upgrade you lose money and loses a lot of ground clearance and in winter it is a snow catcher

Agreed. I would’ve spent the $540 on hitch trailer and bike rack. Or cargo container on top after roof rail+ crossbar.
