Bro I must say I'm impressed with this video. 2 years later and it's still effective. Playong warzone at 2am atm with the ping at 200ms and I must say that after doing everything you've indicated I don't have one mega pint of lag at all. 🍻

I think the persistent storage made the most difference. FYI, changing the "record what happened" time doesn't actually decrease the amount of gameplay footage being recorded. It just changes what happens when you press the X button to 'record what happened.' If you press the back menu button for 'capture options' then you can select if you want to record up to two minutes from there, even if your 'record what happened' is set to less. Another cool fact, did you know that it saves it at the point when you press the guide button? Yeah, so if you hesitate cuz you're not sure how much footage you want to capture, or for any other reason, you won't lose any footage for the time that you waste. This is true for screenshots and game clips.

Excellent advice! Cyberpunk (on my x1x) was very choppy and nowhere near the 30fps cap. Now noticeable frame drops are rare and not nearly as bad. I’m enjoying just playing the game now and not being distracted by poor performance. Thank you!

Thank you this has helped a bunch. My storage was at 94% and deleted a couple games and got it back down to 82%. I also didn’t know about the persistent storage. My Xbox is running a lot smoother with significantly less shutters. This helped a lot until I can get a storage bank.

I confirm that clearing cache works wonders. I experienced framerate drops in AC Odyssey on my One S. I saved in the location which caused fps drops, closed the game, followed this guide, loaded the game and the fps drop was gone. Great video. The 2 parts I didn't know about were the alternate MAC address and the big one, the persistent storage. I couldn't understand why they make you unplug the Xbox one to clear it.
