Martin Solhaugen yea...oh my! my husband accompanied a balikbayan tourist coz they hired our car and him as their driver, and they went to tagaytay Saturday until evening..the next day Sunday the volcano erupted! Much to our surprise...coz its so sudden...and it's frightening! even the locals were not aware of it..the people there, they're so pitiful.

Thank you for filming and explaining about the symbolisms of sticky rice, fruits and the fireworks. This celebration is so much more interactive and meaningful than watching the ball drop from a distant or on TV. The PH new year eve celebration has a unique charm, instead of watching fireworks in one place, you see it all around. Just people making noises with whatever. It's pretty heartwarming really. Other countries only have designated grand fireworks display but here every street or household has their own firework display everywhere left and right and people on the streets with their karaoke. If you set up a camera in a rooftop of a tall bldg the view above is amazing. The whole metropolis is like a freaking war zone haha. Glad you enjoyed NYE here in PH.

Yes! Those traditions! Even we are not in PH during New Year, we still kept those traditions. Even here in Saudi Arabia, we prepare sticky rice, noodles and collect those round fruits just to have a Pinoy NY Spirit! Glad you love it dude. I hope even you both will celebrate New Years away from PH next time, you will start practicing those things.
