Just bought my 2021 KLX300 this week. Thank you for the honest review. Will consider some of these mods!

I don't know much about bikes. But everyone I've ever talked to, has said Kawasaki Engines run forever, if taken care of.

Awesome bikes. Im on my second one. The least anyone should do to these is a 13t sprocket, air lid off with HiFlo Filtro filter, and 02 delete. Super easy to do youself, under $70 total, and reversible if u dont like it. Those 3 cheap mods wake up this bike, give it a good bump in low end torque. Adding a big heavy rear tire is the WORST thing u can do these, it saps a lot of power. Keep it 100-100-18 or the OEM size. And actually the OEM tires are good if u are doing dual sport or not doing serious offroad. They work ok just aired down.

If you do an exhaust and jet kit on this bike, it gives you massively noticeable power and throttle response difference.

With the engine being fuel injected a controller and tube would also help

you can sum up the entire review with “when i sell it”. gives you a good idea how he feels about it

Lol, I did sell it quite fast, but it was fun for a while, just turns out to be too underpowered

I've seen guy remove the sidestand sensor on the klr because it malfunctions. But I don't see how one that is working properly could ever be an inconvenience? What kind of situation are you in when you're using the sidestand while the bike is running and in gear?
@RuckProductions352 жыл бұрын
Good question, to which the answer is…… sometimes i like to start the bike and put it in gear while the side stand is down and just start riding. This way the side stand pulls itself up without you having to put the bike upright and pull it up. Its kinda dumb but i like to do stuff like that sometimes.

Sick. I love my KLR, but gotta get a KLX300.

Agreed, i was so mad when i found out they upped the displacement on the newer models 😂

Did the bike bottom out on the jump with the suspension adjusted to its highest setting? The 2020 forks and rear shocks are adjustable. That was a selling point for me. The salesman at the dealership wasn’t even aware of it. (BTW- I geek out with fun off-road stuff as well!)
@RuckProductions353 жыл бұрын
I wasn’t aware that was an option, ill have to adjust it and try again. Thanks for the comment!

Can a 5’ 7” 200lb shortie rider reach the ground on that awesome bike?
@RuckProductions354 жыл бұрын
impreza99rs im 5’ 9” and my wife is 5’ 3”and we have no problem, if your legs are a little shorter i can only see it being a problem if you are a new rider. Im 158lbs so the weight difference would also bring the seat a little lower for you when you sit down. Id recommend finding a dealer with it in stock near you and check it out in person.

Can u drop a link to a 13t sprocket? I cant seem to find one specifically for a 2020
@RuckProductions353 жыл бұрын
This one should be it, i can never find parts specific to the 2020, the dealer i bought from said the 2018 should be the exact same for pretty much all the parts. They said the manufacturers just haven’t updated some books to show that the parts are interchangeable. Hope this helps. www.ebay.com/itm/Primary-Drive-Front-Sprocket-13-Tooth-Fits-KAWASAKI-KLX250S-2018-2019-/233505970756?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292

Depends where you are, on Guam these were selling for like $7500 which was way higher than MSRP since its on an island. I got a good deal at $6k for mine, definitely worth it if you’re okay with having a 250cc.
