2020 Kubota M5111 Review

Thanks for the very thorough and frank review of your Kubota.....I may end up buying one.!! I would suggest putting a piece of tape or something similar on side of the slot at the range selector lever at the mid point sp you know it is in the right place for the mid range every time the fully forward and back positions will look after themselves. Good luck with the tractor.!!

Great review George. Strikes me as a great stockman's tractor. Wouldn't recommend filling wheels with water; if you get a punture its a real pain. Look after it, and the way secondhand machinery prices are going, it will be worth not far short of what you paid for in a few years time, especially as you're not doing many hours. Just remind where that brake lever is ;-)

I love my 2022 M5-111. But it’s amazingly how much the 2022 has changed from the 2020. Then again I paid $81,000 US.

I’d definitely recommend it! But depending what your using it for, I wouldn’t recommend it if your doing a lot of road work 👍

@@loweswaterhillfarminglaked6572 Thanks for your taking time to reply...Kubota should have you on the payroll.!! I was ready to buy one but the dealerships in Ireland are thin on the ground and when I went to the dealership near me (That was 50 miles away) They informed me they were discontinuing the Kubota line and they had one left they could sell me.....not good I thought. I went to buy a Case 85 A and that is no longer being made.!! So I have ordered a Tumoson which has a good local dealer. It is a reproduction of a Fiat tractor built in Turkey. Fiat originally built some of their tractors there as does Case. It is a straight forward all mechanical tractor that is reckoned to be very reliable as it is a very basic no frills machine. I wanted that and the dealer is only down the road for me....and it is not expensive.!!! Hope you have continued success with the Kubota.!!

Nice bit of kit.I reckon I could actually drive that without having to take a degree in computing,keep it simple.🙃 Why don't you try the old oil drum filled with concrete and a bar through it as a weight mounted on the 3 point linkage? Worked perfectly well years ago.

We’ve got an old weight block that was given to us. It’s a barrel but not quite big enough

Hi I see the gear box is different from the m100gx I use ,is driving this tractor the same as driving a manual car ,having to press the clutch and change through the gears ,if this is so how do you get on with driving on the road with it .

Well I didn't know tractors were that expensive!! Andy says he really enjoyed the review - he's glad you're not an 'expert' coz he knows lots of experts and they drive him mad....! What does your better half think of the passenger seat?

Hi, I’ve just bought a 2017 m5111. Only done 2300 hours! Very clean tractor how do I find out if it’s either the 120hp one or the smaller one? It looks the same as yours

His is not standard if it is 120hp. They came out standard at 91hp (M5-091) and 111hp (M5-111)
