Does it matter if when it connects via Bluetooth if it is Lexus IS as shown in the video or as Car Accessory System? Would this impact the mobile assistant from informing me of and reading new text messages?

Hi! So sorry for the delay! I've noticed that when the Bluetooth pairing shows as Car Accessory system, the pairing is not always reliable. I would forget the phone from the car and the car form the phone, power your phone off and back on and start fresh. Also, for iPhone, make sure Show Notifications is turned on in the device setting once you pair the phone to the car.

Hi Kagisho! The IS power train and suspension haven't really changed in a while. It's still zippy and very responsive. Especially the IS350!

Hello Northside Lexus. I am about to purchase a 2020 Lexus IS 300 F sport (red interior) but it doesn't have a navigation system!!! The Lexus dealer says that if I download the app, I can project the maps system on the screen BUT WHY DOESN'T IT INCLUDE NAVIGATION SYSTEM?? I am skeptical about it now..

Hi Alex, Keep in mind that not all vehicles come with Navigation. The concern I would have is that the 202 IS is not compatible for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in the US. That did not start until 2021. The Scout GPS Link app would be compatible, but it is mostly turn by turn directions and not a dynamic map. Scout also requires a subscription. Make sure to check the vehicle features list so you know the details about your purchase before you make it. All the best.

Hi! Sounds like they may be in the Auto mode. So they are cycling off based on the temperature you have selected for the cabin and the outside temp. See if you can manually select for them to be on. They should stay at that level. If not, then definitely have service check it out for you. Thanks very much for being here!

Hi ivan, Any Lexus with a turbo will have the turbo indicator in the MID. I was in a couple of different ISs for this video. The IS300 has a turbo. In the US, I don't have an IS200. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!

I have 2014 is250. Would it be possible to simply switch out the map sd card for a 2020 or newer map? It seems like the 250 was discontinued but would like a newer map.

Hi! You will need to check with your Lexus Parts Department to see if they have a Navigation update available for your year model. I know at a certain point they stop proving map updates for older models. But if they have it they can tell you based on the VIN or model year. Thanks for checking in.

I cant hear people when they call me. I e turned up the volume on my phone so its not on my end. The volume is also super low when i play music via Bluetooth on my iPhone. Ty

Hi @zenat78. Thanks for checking in for help. The volume settings on our phone are all independent of one another now and they are even separate from the regular phone volume. Here's the fix that usually works for your issue: - Get a call going through the Bluetooth system on the car. Once you can see the call is connected, turn the volume on the side of the phone all the way up. Then you can make additional volume adjustments on the car with the radio volume dial. - Do the same thing for any app that has audio. Get something playing (NAV instructions, music, podcasts, etc.) then adjust the volume with the buttons on the side of your phone, then on the car. Hope this gets your sounds all set for you. Hi Fabiola, On an IS with a Home button the compatible navigation app is called Scout GPS Link. If you have a Map button with built in NAV and the maps aren't showing, check the microSD card to make sure it is properly inserted. Hope this helps! Thanks for tuning in with us!

Hi Mimi, most of the gloveboxes have a small shelf that snaps into place. Check the online owner's manual on LexusDrivers.com for a picture that may help. Hopefully it is not broken and just needs to be clicked into place.
