Sick, i absolutely love rice farming, could u do a video on pivot rice (if there are in your region) with a bit of information like yield comparisons, something I can't find any up to date info on.

Another very nice video of yours. Silly question I know, but where does the rice end up. There are so many different types and some doesn't seem to be suitable for what other types are. I was surprised that combine wasn't on tracks as rice fields are notorious for getting machinery stuck, and that machine was no lightweight LGP tyres or not. The ground looks hard but it can be very soft and spongy underneath, those tractor tyres looked wet enough as it was.

The rice goes to a refinery . When it's harvested it has a husk on each piece of rice that needs to be removed. This husk is abrasive and hard on the machinery which is why many of these harvesters have "rice packages". I know in the past when I've rode in combines cutting rice they would be sure empty out before cutting a new block that was a different variety. And its interesting how the smell changes, like when they start cutting jasmine rice you can definitely tell by the smell in the cab. This field was very dry, we had been on a long dry smell at that point.

@@AerialAg Ah, most interesting, thank-you. I never knew there was such a type as 'Jasmine Rice'. We only usually have two types, - what we call 'short grain' and 'patna', - both imported. The 'patna' only really appeared when the people from the East started turning up after WW2 as apparently they prefer it.

Looks like wet sludge going through the combine, yet dry dusty grain goes into the cart.

I thought you would be making some ruts when harvesting rice because the fields were flooded earlier but I've harvested any just corn , beans & wheat

first off, the combine should only extend out its auger when full, especially if they are driving with the uncut grain on the left! you don't want the tractor and grain cart to drive through the uncut rice.
