Yes, it's the VQ35DE, just an updated version for the model year.

Yes, its a cvt so it's super smooth even when hauling ass, and the VQ35DE gives it its exhaust note

The CVT is a transmission type. Yes It affects the "gearing'" but the exhaust comes from the engine
