I had a hard time deciding between these two, but ultimately went with the Impreza Sport. The Mazda 3 (not AWD, because their AWD is much more than the Impreza Sport) had a lot of blind spots. The car felt like it wrapped around you, and kind of closed you in from a visual line of sight kind of way. The Impreza had much more visibility. Also, I’m 5’9’ and had trouble getting in and out of the Mazda backseat. It was tiny. My last car was a Mazda 3 (2005) and the backseat seemed fine. The newer Mazda 3 looks WAY cool, but sacrifices the backseat for the looks. The Impreza Sport has impressed me so far. Heavy rain on the highway, no problem. This thing is so sure-footed, it is really confidence-building. Plus, the Sport Mode will surprise you! Seriously. I don’t do sports cars or anything, but the Sport Mode kind of feels like your gas pedal is very lively and will really get up and go! I feel like the Impreza Sport is VERY functional, and really cool. I feel like the Mazda 3 is REALLY cool, but less functional. That’s my two cents.

The Subaru Impreza is superior in every way the AWD drive is way better it doesn't put down as many ponys as the Mazda 3 but the Impreza handles better, rides better, feels more planted and stable, the imprezas interior in my opinion is nicer it's simple no frills and doesn't feel like it's trying to be quasiluxury like Mazda. Subaru leans more into there standard AWD because they know theirs is best in market they have that rally sport pedigree and Subarus have best in class safety. Also Subaru makes their CVTs in house because they have a high standard for what they want It be and the quality they don't feel other transmission manufacturers make their CVTs at a quality high enough to meet their standards. Also if you care about the environment Subaru reuses the packaging the ship there parts in up to 23 times before recycling. Subaru is just better

My wife just bought a beautiful 2020 Subaru Impreza Sport with a manual transmission. We fell in love with this car instantly. It is so fun to drive and I am very jealous that it is hers. Lol This car handles really well and it is very quiet. It has a really sporty feel and hugs the road with the all wheel drive. Yes it could have a little more power, but you really don't notice it that much with the manual transmission. Unfortunately, the only big drawback with having the manual transmission is that the car doesn't have a factory auto car starter or Eye Sight. I have learned that I can get an aftermarket auto start for $600, but we will miss having a 360 degree camera with the Eye Sight. Beside this, the car comes with all of the other bells and whistles. I forgot to mention that the seats are very comfortable and heat up really fast. Just give this car a 2.5 liter, an auto starter and Eye Sight and it would be a true winner in it's class for many years to come. I am now a true Subie believer. This coming from a guy who used to love his 1987 Mazda RX-7 Turbo.

Hi I have an Impreza sport hatchback in manual and I love mine. I put an Thornton performance chip in (no mpg improvement) which "does" make it more responsive. Also upgrading the headlights to LEDs makes such an improvement at night. There's also 5th Gen Impreza, Sport Impreza SISOG, or 2017+Impreza groups on FB. 😃👍

The all wheel drive on my base model 2012 Impreza out shines all “all wheel” drive systems on all other cars and SUVs in my neighbourhood. I never get stuck on snowbanks or in the tight laneways, like they do. Love my Impreza. It’s fun to drive in the rain and snow.

I can tell you, in my opinion, driving the 2020 Impreza everyday, the little screen above the infotainment screen is very useful if you change what it displays. I keep fuel economy and range on it so that way I can have the digital speedometer on the gauge cluster screen.

My choice,...I chose the Impreza hatchback sport in manual transmission and l love it. Much better visibility and cargo room. The engine is sufficient and gets good gas mileage and I got mine for $21,000 with 21,600 miles on it with 18 months left on it. As for the cargo room, fold the rear seats down and the Impreza hatchback has 56 cubic feet of space. 🏹🤠👍

I have 2020 Mazda 3 hatchback and it a great car. I don't particularly like touchscreen infotainment because you have to keep reaching over to interact with it and when you already have a comfortable driving position it's bothersome. The Mazda has infotainment controls in the center console controlled by a knob which is not that difficult to learn. Thanks for the review.

I really liked the video:), keep it up. I have no idea why everyone is complaining so much, not everything will be EXACTLY how you want or imagine it to be, someone took an effort to do this and it may be a bit different to what others might be doing but the least we can do (if not be appreciative) is be nice :).
@jorgeneves13344 жыл бұрын
This is not a straight comparison. On the one hand the Mazda has a bigger engine and is about 50% more expensive, though the Subaru can be purchased with a stick shift. As to the AWD systems, Subaru's is a full time system, while the Mazda has a far inferior Haldex... had you put these car through the paces on slippery conditions the Impreza would be far superior. And if you were to get the Levorg, basically an Impreza with the same horsepower as the Mazda there would be no comparison in winter driving conditions. This IS NOT a good comparison either....

@MrSteveb14 жыл бұрын
Not a fair comparison, you took a top line Mazda 3 and compared it to a midline Impreza, should have been an Impreza limited. Also, the Subaru all wheel drive system is far superior to the “slip & grip” system of the Mazda. Just sayin but both are fine choices

@rsquareguy64434 жыл бұрын
@2WIREG If you live in a snowless and less rainy place, then cool, no need to buy an AWD car. For people who live in the northern hemisphere with 3-4 months of monthly 15" snow in a year, having a solid AWD car is great. No need to be an ignorant jerk if you don't know what's it's used for.
