Obviously the Mercedes out classes the Tesla in every way. The EQC 400 looks great, inside and out. The Model X has bad proportions, and a homely dull shape to it. The stupid gull-wing doors cannot make it cool. It looks a like a bloated Model 3. Spud cars... I like the Model S, though. Looks great. The Porsche Taycan mostly looks good, but has an ugly face... Looks count, but automakers go too far out of their way to make their cars look different that they come out ugly or odd looking. Too many cars also look very angry, which makes their owners look like they're looking for a fight.

Purely based on the aesthetics I would take a Merc over a Tesla any day. However the range really is a problem for me. I need atleast double whats possible today. Also I dont feel like buying a 80.000 Euro car that will be a lame duck on the Autobahn. Not sure how long this can sustain 250km/h but I am sure its unusable basically and will be throttled and empty in no time based on what test with other electric cars showed.

They have had a fully electric B-class for years, but that one had battery and motor from Tesla. So you are right that this is the first real fully electric Mercedes.

Imagine wireless charging stations for electric cars. They're starting to do that.

We'll see where the tech will go

@@Fluterra You're right, I just confirmed that. The charging is slower, among other problems. Disadvantages of wireless charging include: Higher Cost, Less Efficiency, Low Charge Capacity compared to cable connection, Hazardous Electromagnetic Field, Induction Tech is more complicated, Additional Weight of a heavy adapter... The Mercedes fully charged has a 200-plus mile range, more than enough for daily city driving. A recharge can be done at home overnight... What I like most about the EQC is its balance (not nose heavy), proportions, design, quality. I think they really nailed it.
