Yup, I think on my 1st camera I put the neck strap on but as I use a tripod mostly I haven't siunce. I have the peak design strap too and it's great except I recently sold sold my G9 and need to get a replacement clip as I left it on the camera. I agree about it being a little awkard when mounting on a tripod etc. Atb Alan
