Exhaust is not just an ass to remove exhaust gases... It is a part of the exhaust manifold. Exhaust design is a crucial part too which affects engine performance a lot. If done wrong will damage engine. Exhaust also controls back pressure. ECU remap is required if the mod is done right from the headers. If only muffler is changed then remap is not required.

back pressure? this isnt a two stroke bro. also this is turbo charged. so less the pressure in exhaust more better for turbo. mapping only needed for more power. RIP PUC though since they removed the CAT. actually most of the good sound can be gotten by removing the rear cat :)

Go get a good full exhaust system for your car. This one is not a proper exhaust. The downpipe only can cost you around 15k and another 10-15k for the rest including endcan. This exhaust doesn't seem to be properly designed or don't know if the sound not very subtle due to the new 1.0L engine. 1.2 TSI has a pleasant exhaust note if done properly.
