I love watching these players play long holes. Most pros can compete even on the long holes, but watching the top distance throws do unbelievable things with a disc is a thing of beauty.

I like having a mix of courses. It’s nice to have both. Different strengths can be showcased at technical courses and longer courses. Overall winner of both has proven themself.

Having this event is a great add and wooded courses are a great test too. The champion should be well rounded. Both are tops.

I like courses that mix both, and courses that can be mostly one or the other. Having played for 20 years (not that I've gotten any better) I've come to appreciate all types of holes and courses. What's important is thoughtfulness in maximizing potential of the land you are given; well that and a caring land owner and community who commit to course upkeep. All that said I have to say I've only ever made a handful of KZbin comments ever (mostly I know I have a tendency to be long-winded and have the courtesy to not bog down what might otherwise be a fluid group discussion), but this is one of my favorite disc golf coverage channels. Easily my favorite of single-cam coverage. The quality of commentary by yourself and your guests, shot selection that is albeit limited but well-thought out, great editing including decisions to leave in select choice on-course commentary, and perhaps my most preferred heads up ticker/score display (not intrusive, has all the info you need, fluid updates when scoring, color choice/overall aesthetic). I'd say keep up the effort and continue to grow, but honestly if nothing changed you'd probably continue to still be one of the best channels out there.

Having the whole round is nice. I can always pause halfway through and start back up.

Excellent work. The full round is more enjoyable than just 9 at a time.

I like a mix of both. I think you need to have both crushing distance as well as touch and placement. I live in New England and most of all our courses here (besides Maple, Smuggs, and Sabattis) are straight woods and I think that is a detriment to the growth of the full player. As much as I love this piece of property, I would have loved to see maybe 4-5 more holes on The Preserve be wooded and more technical to prove that you can't win just for being able to drive 100' farther than the rest of the field

I prefer dividing up the coverage into halves but it's easier to produce the single video coverage, so if it becomes a difference-maker in timely releases, I say go for the full round videos!

Count me in for woods golf, Terry. The shot shaping, etc... more fun to watch than bombs into an open field. I'd watch MJ (and guys like Dickerson and Barry) over anyone else any day. Thanks so much to you and your man on the camera! LOVE seeing as many cards as possible at top events!

I like these long holes than can showcase distance, but there should either be more OB or have at least one of the shots require more shaping of the throw. ie. pad/basket tucked into woods

I like the full round coverage, so I don't have to click twice to find the next coverage. I know it's such a hassle! :D I like the open bomber course but like having some technicality too mixed in. Maybe move a couple baskets back on a couple holes like #11 to the right into the tree line. Just to challenge the players a bit more. I actually don't like ropes. Having land a foot on one side or another and having to take a penalty is sort of silly to me. Natural OB is best!

and for the record, I prefer seeing all 18 over separate Front 9/Back 9 videos.

also for the record, I like seeing a mix of long bomber holes and technical holes. Both have their place and their charms and Airborn Preserve has both, making for a fun tournament to follow. I don't think the length of #8 was huge factor: there were 3 eagles and 3 dbl bogeys all weekend. 83% par or birdie. I think you'd have to lengthen the hole quite a bit more to have its length create real separation.

Having a course that has both big open and more technical. But if choosing one over the other then technical without a doubht.

You asked if we like the idea of the length of the holes, yes, but it has to be mixed with tricky lines, with precision and so on.. the best courses have all of that and the best round up player should be the winner, not only the "big guns" nor the "super technical ones" but the ones that can do everything :)
@mikalmorris48394 жыл бұрын
open/long vs technical/long: they both have a place but I prefer to watch a technical/long hole like the ones at Iron Hill.

I like to see one or two of those massive, long, open par 4 and 5's, but not much more than that. It's a feature, maybe a little gimmicky and showy, but not the only thing I'm here to see.
@mikehosier12394 жыл бұрын
I like this course. The length for the pros is fine but I dont want certain people to completely change the game. The allure for me and many is birdies and throw ins aren't that out of reach for the average amateur.
@badgerspvcoach4 жыл бұрын
I like to see them bomb discs and land them. I hate watching courses like Jackson, seems so stressful and there seems to be a luck factor involved.

Not a big fan of the throw - walk - throw - Brewster Ridge IS a Disc Golf Course par Excellent - Walk across the road and you have Fox Run for a great mix of distance and woods. Loved playing Brewster at Masters Worlds. #706
@nakke34 жыл бұрын
There should be more ob, strategy and risk/reward type of shots in open courses. This one could use still couple more wooded holes to keep the player little less tuned in with the backhand distance shot. Forehand is not really tested here, even though it helps in couple holes.
