Faster charging, longer EV range and proper off road ability with luxurious interiors, I am liking this news, pretty exciting and setting a new bench mark.

Stie cineva dimensiunile masinilor, ma intereseaza sa stiu cu cat este mai mare un Discovery Sport față de Evoque ?

So you can go entirely electric between breakdowns...

How loud is the engine? usually these small 3 cylinder turbo charged engines get too loud on motorway and not in a cool way..!

I know it's ever so slightly bigger, but hard to grasp the pricing of the Range Rover Evoque being cheaper than the Land Rover Disco Sport...

The similarities are obvious, but you could have covered the differences between the two cars... Size, performance, extras, maybe put them next to each other...

I really like how What Car focuses on many different cars in their videos. Contrast that to carwow where it's all about the Germans and performance cars

My new 2020 RR PHEV had engine light still turned on after 3 times back to dealer service with changing parts. Now in service 4th time and they said that all this model cars in the world will be recalled for new hybride software that will be ready at the end of September 2020. 3 months after buying a new very expensive car, still stuck to service. Dealer said that JLR refused replacement or refund. I can not even reach the customer service despite my multiple attempts. UNRELIABLE

The Discovery P300e has a very small engine for a relatively big car.
@chrisgregory55313 жыл бұрын
Because it also uses the 108BHP electric motor with the 197 bhp petrol engine. Its small as in 1.5 ltr but 197 BHP is more than the D180. Dont get fixated over the 1.5 ltr size.

They need engine drive to the rear wheels not electric motor only. You go off roading all day and your 15kW battery will be flat in no time and then you’re left with a FWD only car - not much use. And yes, I take my Petrol Discovery Sport off-road.

Very impressed with this. And a genuine contender for my next car. What is the "real" range on electric?
@dmrk11163 жыл бұрын
about 45 km with 2 passengers. at least this is what i got most of the times

40 what miles???
@UnipornFrumm4 жыл бұрын
yeah,i think people who buy this will just fill up with gas and never bother to charge it for 7 hours
@chrisgregory55313 жыл бұрын
It is a plug in not a full electric. Find a plug in Hybred that does much more than 40miles on electric.
@jhewitthunt3 жыл бұрын
To balance the point - i would be interested in this. I do occasional long trips. Maybe 2 or 3 per month, where a full EV would struggle and annoy me. But most of my daily driving could easily be done on the battery alone with this car. So it suits me perfect. Horses for courses I suppose :)

its a SUV they can easely put a huge 500 mile battery under it and make it full electric

One day we will look back and scoff at our foolishness - just as we're doing with diesel now. Electric is not the future - batteries are toxic, heavy and expensive, range is hopeless. The hydrogen cell will prevail and batteries will be dismissed.

Hybrids are now pointless. They were a decent middle ground when full EV had rubbish range. Now that just isn't the case, hybrid manufacture will be banned along with all other ICE vehicles in 15 years. Also, the Evoque is just a range rover for girls.
@hichembouattour4 жыл бұрын
For girls looool Because you don’t have money to buy it 😆🤣
@jhewitthunt3 жыл бұрын
9 years actually. No new cars from 2030 will have ICE engines in this country. So the EV range stuff needs fully sorting by then, otherwise new car sales will suffer. There are some EV's I really like, but other than the Tesla (which i dont like the inside of), none have good enough range, or easy enough public charging.
@bernardfender51473 жыл бұрын
@@jhewitthunt there is definitely a way to go before EV has mass appeal. Right now I think they are only convenient for people with off road parking or charging points at work. I wouldn't want to be relying solely on public charging right now, although this will change rapidly. I quite like the Tesla interior! It's the outside I don't care for. Have you seen the ionic5 or the ev6? Niiiice!! Range is a difficult topic, I think it's as subjective as looks. My gf and I haven't driven more than 100miles in one day in years! My mate does 500 miles a week, sometimes 250 a day so...meh! His needs differ from ours. There is the id3 that does 340 miles, a long range id4 that does 260+miles, the Tesla roadster will do 640! or others that will charge 100miles in 5 mins, so yknow it's getting there.
