I bought an identical bike at the end of June. Simply love it; perfect for the country lanes here in the UK. Great series of very informative videos. Looking forward to the next instalment.

I got mine from the showroom spring 2021 in South Dakota. 2000 miles this year. A real HOOT on roads and trails in the Black Hills. A good re-entry bike after a 30 year break.

I think the exhaust pipe is one of the main attractions of the bike. They're a very impressive nuggety looking road bike that you can take down a few gravel roads. It's not a scrub basher like the Himalayan. It does have its own special character though. Either you get that and love it for what it is, or you don't.

since I took this clip I've been down quite a few dirt /gravel roads and it handled it well. agree its not a scrub basher at 200kgs

Looking good, Wild Bill! I only just noticed in the intro that your brain bucket matches that lovely green frame of the new Bullet. Such a fancy man. So, I guess this one's really "The Keeper", huh? As for any undue vibes, my hunch is they'll mellow out markedly as that clock ticks over and things settle in. Most folks with the UCEs seem to report a remarkable sweetening of the whole plot--less vibes, better shifting, and just finer handling in general--as one gets around the 1,000-1,200 mile mark (about 1,600-2,000 kms). But then, you know that. You've broken in more Bullets than any three people I can think of offhand.

BB Brain Bucket good one BB -yeah I decided to buy a new helmet for the bike and scored that bell 500 so I can do a few open face helmet blogs on the bike with better sound quality. I've had a few issues with the bike but I've finally started to sort it out and I think overall I can turn it into a much better prepared bike than when I pick it up. which in all honesty-wasn't much!

@@ridewithwarro Bell is always the fine quality choice. Got a solid blue one myself. Forget dayglo orange, yellow or pink for getting noticed. I suspect my "Electroglide Blue" may have saved my life more than once, since mine gets right into the lizard brain of otherwise apparently blind drivers as it's the same color bike cops wear over here in The Land of the Plastic Spork. Wakes those motorized zombies right the hell up. Take care old buddy! Keep 'em coming.

Nice one 👍At just under 650 miles mine has a sweet spot at 3000rpm. Still trying to run it around that rpm. Trying to push it beyond 50 mph is still quite vibey. I'd say compared to my 2014 continental gt the vibes are worse at higher revs/speed. Hope it improves as I put the miles on. Great bike though.
@ridewithwarro4 жыл бұрын
when I bought my gt back in 014 I thought it was a huge improvement over a C5 especially in the gear shift linkages and was less vibey too. meanwhile check these. all 4 bolts which hold the handlebars plus the rear head steady bolt. be careful in this area near the pump outlet plus that large nut up front on the engine mount. while your at it do a re-check and make sure your plug cap hasn't jumped partly off!

There's a bloke in Wales who tinkers with old British bikes & new R.E.'s for a living. I think you might find some useful information there Paul Henshaw is his name. I'm humming & arring over buying one. I may buy a 2nd hand one and do a rebuild. An Interesting channel you've got.

I have a 2020 Classic 500 with 8,000 k's and it's developed a bad crank and am looking at a 2020 Trials 500 with 1,000 k's and am thinking about buying the bike $5,000 to put the Trails 500 engine into my Classic 500. The engine swap option would be a much quicker and a much cheaper option compared to having my engine repaired.

a much better idea would be buy a used 350 classic reborn as its far a better bike based on owning 15 classic 500's

What grade fuel are you using Warro? I don't want to put ethanol in the bike and I read the manual and can't get a definitive answer. Of course this may just mean I can't read.
@ridewithwarro4 жыл бұрын
well I always put 95 in these bikes and have never had a problem. one reason why you would never use ethanol fuel is it's a proven fact it will ruin your reserve float fuel indicator in the tank. over time it will eventually dissolve away into a glob of gooey junk and not function at all

Barring a psychotic ex-girlfriend who bears you and your bike ill will, and might wish to "adulterate" your fuel with whatever "feminine rage" she may have on tap, unless you've also got a locking fuel petcock, there's not really much point to having just a locking fuel cap as a supposed deterrent to fuel theft, is there? I mean, one could just yank or cut the fuel hose off the tap and drain the tank that way...probably easier than siphoning. I've got an older original model Bullet with a locking fuel cap, and it's just another key to worry about--and a hard to get "Minda" one at that. Or, just ask our man Warro (aka. "Wild Bill") here about how wonderful locking fuel caps can be. He had an earlier bike with a dodgy cap lock. That was fun, Eh?

@@brianharradine8130 That's what I'd assumed, and was agreeing too. Locks on fuel caps are slightly pointless on bikes...at least where fuel theft is concerned. But she's still out there, you know...watching...waiting...

Locking gas caps don't go with these beautiful classics. After watching so much RWW.. I'm now hooked on the '20 trials.. a shop has one with under 200kms.. an interceptor is a better bike which I was originally wanting but the Int doesn't have character of the trials.. and like someone said, when they're gone.. they're gone. I suppose the best solution is to damn the torpedoes and buy both.
