This race is the first time Racing Point wins a race since the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix, First time a mexican driver wins in 50 years, and the second time both Racing Points are on the podium since the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix. As a result, Perez claims the record of most races before first win at 190 races usurping Mark Webber by 60 races!

Albon could have taken the win himself if the stars aligned. Followed Perez for the majority of the race but fell back after the second yellow flag and got stuck in the midfield, watch it again and track the two. I guess it’s still not an excuse... he is in a RB after all...

maybe podium is still hard, but yes, he got the fresher tyre between the ocn, perez, and stroll pack, he easily can get 4th in the end from 12th which is a good or even great race performance, although still shadowed by perez 18th to 1st, yet rb pitted him...
