@@watercraftjournal You certainly did help. I watched your videos and especially liked seeing how well the hull handled. My only regret is that the footwells do not have scuppers to help drain the water as I will be sitting or trolling with wet feet much of the time. Thanks for the video! I’m wondering if the GTX Limited comes with fish finder/GPS. You mentioned that the speed for this machine is measured by GPS. So does this give it navigation capabilities, or would you need to add a Garmin Echomap to it for navigation? Thanks!!

Cheers. Adam.

Adam Samuels unfortunately no, we won’t be able to provide such a video. You’ll need to do your own research and consult a dealer regarding recommended equipment and weight restrictions.

@watercraftjournal4 жыл бұрын
GTX is incredibly STABLE, but not predictable in rough water. FX would track better in rough water, but isn't as comfortable as GTX seat.

Audio options for the FX are either the detachable/portable EcoXgear speakers, which drown out at 55mph or the incredibly expensive JL Audio system that is installed by the dealership and eats up the FX's glovebox.

Haven't you already asked us this? Stay out of the boost (around 40-42mph) or put it in ECO mode (top speed 36mph) and you'll see around 5.6mpg. Calculate that by 18.5-gallons. The ST3 hull produces a LOT of drag, so it's not terribly fuel efficient.

Hi, where I live I will have a lot of rough chop and rough water. Would you recommend the GTX or Or FX? Wich is more stable? ... But based in your videos I think a great option will be a VX HO. Wich lead me to a new question.. Is stable in rough waters too?
@argenis21164 жыл бұрын
And betwen VX HO and GTI 170? Wich is more stable? All I heard is That sea doo is way more stable but. 🤔 I don't know how much... Thanks!
@watercraftjournal4 жыл бұрын
You keep using "stable" and I don't think you intend what that word means. If by asking, "which ski can I stand up and move around in while the engine is off and not roll over?" It would be the GTX. But if you mean, "which ski travels through rough, choppy water best, tracking a straight true line while under throttle?" the answer is the FX. The VX Cruiser HO is best suited for smoother water. The Sea-Doo GTX/RXT is all but unpredictable and nearly unsafe in rough water when at speed. The FX is both stable when stationary, and predictable in chop while at speed.

Happy to help! Now, it's fair to note that lots of ground has been covered by the aftermarket; RIVA Racing's sponsons and soon-to-be-released intake grate radically improve the handling and tracking characteristics of the ST3 hull. It's simply a matter of whether you're prepared to drop another $600-$700 on your Sea-Doo after buying it.

So, I'm on the fence. Yamaha or SeaDoo? What's the truth about SeaDoo and sinking?
@watercraftjournal4 жыл бұрын
The only credibility to Sea-Doo's sinking is because most folks destroy their PWC's carbon seal by either repeatedly jumping waves (with the throttle pinned when they land) and/or jam up their pumps with sand/debris by beaching to high up or running in super shallow water.
