The voodoo motor when it first came out in the GT350 had some issues, but they’ve since been resolved 👍🏻 LS swaps have a crazy amount of support for sure lol

@@Chris-Rife Yeah it's definitely gonna be less exciting, less engaging, less immersive with EVs. And not just because they are quiet, with no exhaust and no intake or turbo sound but because EVs all deliver power the same way some are more powerful than others but it's all instant torque. Which is what you want so I'm not complaining there but you just will no longer have vehicles that feel different as far as power delivery. Like some cars that seem to deliver their grunt at top end while some give mid range punch and others stomp from the low end. The beauty with gasoline engines is that you can build on the weakness of the engine rather it's, low end high end or mid-range. It gives you a sense of accomplishment a project. Evs just have no character their like quiet zombies some are super zombies.

This car has a 100% stock blower besides the pulley spinning it faster!No porting here except the stock TB 😁 And also no pulley on the GT500. If it did have a pulley the ZL1 would be getting gapppeeeeddddd 😂 But yes, the GT500 is far and away the better platform for straight line speed. Especially for the cost! The Shelby is the best car I’ve ever owned, but the Camaro is my favorite. Can’t beat a 700+whp supercharged V8 that’s a manual! That being said, I say go for the Shelby if you can! It’s comfier, has more room, makes power easier, the trans is amazing, and it’ll hold its value incredibly well.

To be fair, this is Ford’s latest and greatest. Predator is a 2020 motor and it has PI with a big blower. LT4s are from 2015 and DI with a baby blower. To really compare, the LT5 in the ZR1 would be a more sound comparison in terms of engine prowess, as it has PI to supplement, and struts the the bigger blower. Predator high revs and smaller displacement vs LT5s lower revs and more displacement. It’ll always be a back and forth! The competition creates badass cars 👍🏻

@@lakers0304 Sorry I didn’t see this. The no-lift feature is a feature straight from GM. Your car does this as well! Floor it and engage the clutch as your normally would when it’s time to shift (near redline). Just keep the throttle pinned while shifting. No damage to the trans, it cuts power inbetween shifts 👍🏻 You can look it up online as well, it’s a cool feature and will do a “braappp” noise when engaged. The exhaust setup is ARH 2in catless headers, no secondary cats, and stock x-pipe/NPP. The cam is BTRs stage 2 off the shelf cam, with a +38% fuel lobe. Unported heads. The car also revs to 7200rpms now which does give it a unique tone

Camaro was definitely faster, but the upshifts slowed it down! A manual is no where near as excellent as a DCT. If it was the A10 ZL1 with those mods, it would have walked away quickly...but then again...if the GT500 has the same modifications (minus a CAM, I don't think you can do that to a dual-cam engine without $$$$$) would win. Both badass cars; I'd take the one with the best warranty/reliability at the end of the day.

Yup the Shelby is just too much car for the ZL1. Being on meth and changing parts (TB and Intake) would pick up some decent gains, but the truth is that Shelby is basically stock with a tune. Once it’s got E85/pulley it would almost for sure take a blower upgrade for a manual Camaro to even keep up!

Appreciate the insight but my clutch has been and is perfectly fine. I’m not sure how you can tell from this video it’s shot tbh. Zero clutch slip, zero flares after shifting. I’m not sure what you’re hearing but it’s not slipping at all. I don’t mean to sound rude but I genuinely don’t see or hear anything to support that theory

1LE + 6sp is the slowest ZL1 especially high speed racing because of the down force ( Big wing). Besides 100k+ car and a 60- 70k car door to door I'll take that all day. GT500 is a bad boy tho I b looking for they ass because if you can't drive it it's taillights baby the cars a very close 10sp non 1LE is a rocket

A10 is obviously faster than the manual of course. Passenger makes a big difference. GT500 does low 6s 60-130. That’s what similarly setup 10AT cars do

Dude in the ZL1 can’t drive. If the ZL1 is FBO with cam and E40 it should be making 730-800 wheel all day long depending on what’s done and tune it should be catching out on the GT500 with just tune and a intake a intake ain’t adding shit mabe 5-10 with tune

Did you read the mod list? Unported blower. No meth. Stock TB. Regular rotofab. 711whp on 93. You underestimate the GT500 BIG time. It traps 137 and will make around 750whp. I picked up 7mph from the intake and tune. Let me know what your bolt-on, cam, stock wheels and tires, full weight, manual ZL1 1LE traps. “Bad driver” please. There’s zero evidence of that in these races. You are just insulting for no reason. Im not the best driver on the planet, but you can watch all the other videos on my channel and I think it’s fair to say I’m good enough to where a different driver isn’t going to change the outcome. Don’t be upset just because the race didn’t go how you hoped.

I haven’t dyno’d either car on the current setups but if I had to guess, the ZL1 is making around 700-710whp and GT500 740-750whp. The Shelby did have a passenger though, ZL1 was solo
