@@alpineibex5596 i‘m 180cm tall. Got the s3 first and it is was a bit to small. Was good for the bikepark to ride playful but it was too short. Then i got the s4 and it is perfect for me. Stable in faster parts and still playful on the jumps. I could ride both but the s4 fits me better. ;)

I find it funny how back in 2012 ish when everyone was all over 27.5 bikes Specialized was soo closed to make practically any of their mtb’s 650b because they said 29ers where the future. Fast forward to 2020 basically all brands do their enduro bikes as 29ers aswell as their aggressive trial bikes! People like to hate on the big S but no one can deny they were right almost 10 years ago about 29ers lol

Great review, I love those tails, can't wait to go back soon. I got a frame and I am building it up so I could use some advice. As far as the bike goes, you are riding the S4, what size stem? and how tall are you? You also talked about the size of the tires being too big, what were you running and do you have any recommendations for this bike? Finally, did you ride it the entire time on the low or high setting?

First off, great review! Have you ridden the Turbo Levo as well? I bought a Levo a few weeks back, and I´m absolutly loving the plush, yet poppy feeling to it. I would like to buy now eather a Stumpy Evo, or the Enduro, since I fall a little bit in love with Specialized Bikes :D Due to Corona, there are no test bikes out there. So I wonder which bike would be closer to the feeling of the Turbo Levo.

im 5'6 and im thinking about getting the bike in the s2 size, would the smaller size help in cornering and maneuvering the bike in turns?
@futsalkeegan4 жыл бұрын
I can't say much for the ride itself, but I've sat on an S2 and at 5'6" it feels very very short. I feel like I'm sitting almost straight up. Granted, I am pretty comfortable with long, agressive XC positions, but the S2 reach even felt super short compared to a 17.5" Trek Fuel EX. Remember, the reach is typical for medium bikes but the seat tube is fairly steep, meaning that the reach is effectively shortened.
@sidharthramasubbu32214 жыл бұрын
Keegan Pelton I’ve also got the 2018 trek fuel ex 8 and wanted an upgrade , idk if I should get the s2 or s3 , I just want it to be snappy and quick In the turns
@futsalkeegan4 жыл бұрын
Sidharth Ramasubbu First off, make sure your trails are really meant for the enduro. The Fuel EX is definitely much more lively and maneuverable out on the trails. The enduro feels “dead” for lack of a better word, although it’ll definitely be better than the fuel if your trails are techy, fast, and steep. I think if you’re sizing down to make this bike feel better in the corners you’re better off finding a more trail-oriented bike that will feel far better in the corners that a smaller enduro will.
@sidharthramasubbu32214 жыл бұрын
Keegan Pelton gotcha , I ride Gnarly trails at times and I feel like the fuel is at its limit so I’m looking for an enduro race bike which can help me go faster , the fuel feels unstable once I reach maybe 20-22 mph in rockgardens so I was thinking about buying an enduro bike but I would like it to carve corners well , I was looking at the Nukeproof mega , sb150 and the Meta am 29

It would be really helpful, when describing the bikes characteristics, if you could put them in context with some reference to other known bikes from the extreme ends of the "enduro" spectrum. Great bike , rides smooth kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
