I love pickled garlic! My sisters and I pealed 40 pounds of garlic and when we were about finished Melody got the bright idea to look up how Martha Stewart peals garlic (that woman knows everything!) this is how you do it, take the bulb of garlic and hit it with your hand to slightly break it apart, next put bulbs into a Tupperware bowl cover with the lid now shake it like your life depends on it, shake until all the peals are off each clove of garlic, it doesn’t take long, I think a rectangle dish works best. That simple trick would have saved us 3 days of pealing😂 one batch we used apple cider vinegar the other we used white vinegar they were both delicious!

One day I was pressure canning jalapenos while I was on break with my kids. One jar broke. I had to make my kids go outside while they finished processing. The house was like a pepper spray had gone off. I felt so bad. The kids look back and we laugh about it. Lol

I love your channel. I am trying to preserve all of my food from my garden this year , and extra food from the store to have a nice pantry for this winter will everything going on. My mom moved to Mexico last summer so I don’t have her to show me these things, but now I get to watch you and learn your tricks :) so thank you so much ☺️ hope your having a wonderful day. Oh also if you put the garlic in a bowl of boiling hot water for like a minute or too, the skins come right off .... super easily.

Yum sounds like a delicious recipe- thanks for sharing Linda can't wait to try it been doing a lot of pickled items lately, asparagus, brussels sprouts.. FYI- you could have cooled your pot and restarted from tepid water & bring it up slowly to your boil with the 2nd round and not had to reheat the brine too. Also, instead of your towel on the bottom for a rack line the pot with mason jar bands and set the jars on them for a substitute rack WAY better than that towel. I think it was the towel rack. TY

This looks so delicious and easy to do. But first I have to find the garlic. My Costco did not have any bulk garlic and I had bought a large bag of bulbs to make some fermented garlic in honey. It took forever to peel and I said I would never do that again.

I'm thinking I just want to drink that brine out of the jars, it has to be delicious. Fresno Peppers are so expensive. I checked the pH of Fresno vs red bell peppers and they are right in the same ballpark. I would feel comfortable exchanging some red bells and jalapeños for color and heat and save some expense, also they are always available and Fresnos are not. I want to add more garlic to my diet, this is perfect to have on hand and dump some into many dishes. Peeled garlic is as wonderful as sliced bread.

I just noticed that you touch the hot jars on the top with a towel. I was always told not to do that because the button depresses before it would naturally. This could compromise the seal. @Linda's Pantry, I haven't canned anything since I was a kid visiting my grandma's in the 80s. I watched a video from Facebook of a lady using an Instant pot to canned strawberries. Now, It's been a long time since i've done it but I'm sure what she is doing isn't safe. She cooks her fruits in the IP under pressure and after she puts the fruit in the jars and closes them. she doesn't boil or put the jars in a IP or pressure cooker. Is that really safe to eat after a few months? I got blocked from her FB because I asked about that and called a few choice names lol
