For me, if you are intended to do 9 years loan, better buy a sedan, because who knows within the 9 years, you're getting married, have kids etc. It is a relieve if you have a car with proper boot to put family items, stoller, etc. In this matter, a good sedan and value for money goes to Proton Saga. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

was going to buy a bezza, but then I went to test drive both saga and bezza and decided to go for Saga. Have not regret a single moment for choosing saga. Wonderful car at its price

I own a Bezza, and have to say, don't regret buying the Saga. It gives more smiles per kilometer. Though Bezza was touted to be fuel efficient, not on the highways though, and the wobbly handling made me risky driving it I feel like the car is killing both my money and my sanity.

The facelifted Axia we feel is a better bang for your buck for first time car buyers. Cheaper to buy, more fuel efficient, almost as practical and spacious, gets all the necessary safety features. The Myvi, for the price, is a bigger car yes but not that muchhhhh better than the Axia.

I have a couple of suggestions . 1 ) The all new 2020 Myvi - very fuel efficient and pleasant car to drive (I myself drive this particular car and it is amazing) 2) Like Adrian said if you die die also want a non national car 😂. The All new Honda City and the 2019 Vios (Yaris) sibling is also a very good choice 👍.The all new Almera is also worth checking out . All inexpensive and cheerful to maintain I hope the suggestions helps 🙏

Good video. Although as suggested by many in this comment, I do agree that buying used cars need more experience as the condition of each cars varied quite dramatically depending on models, brands and regions compared to new cars. I suggest maybe you could make separate videos for both used and new cars. Just my 2 cents, cheers guys :D

The Cerato is an under rated car in Malaysia. Selling like hotcakes in SG, especially the fourth GEN Cerato with Intelligent CVT. Drives and Handles superbly. However, the third Gen Cerato is a value money used car which offers the comfort of a C Segment at a very reasonable price. Hope to see the review for Cerato from WAP car as well.

For me best first car for single young adult, below 25 years old would be Perodua Axia. Have used this car in the past and really enjoyed it, very cheap too, adequate for students. Now I am older and have upgraded to Honda City.

Kia Cereto is a good choice. I bought its predecessor Kia Forte SX in 2009. Throughout my 10 years of owning it, I must say it’s a very good car. Maintenance was low n returned good FC. As far as I could remember, the total cost of changing 3 spare parts during that duration was less than 1.5k. The only set back was perhaps the resale value. I paid 82K for the car n got back 15K when I sold it.

Quite good recommendations that caters to different income segment although I think that most people should try to get their first car for below 30k and max 35k based on 5 years loan. Best is the first car is a hand me down but else 2nd hand proton and perodua is the sensible option

Forester has unconventional engine setup, might cost more to run. Perhaps try taking a look at a 2016/17 xtrail 2.0 for 60-70k

Hmm I think that curveball does not serve any purpose but to confuse. I mean, even if you are looking at used cars, there are so many other options why kia and specifically the cerato?? Secondly, as first time buyers, used cars require a bit more work, such as a pre-purchase inspection, service records, name transfer etc. I dont think it is good to recommend a used car without mentioning the homework that goes with it.

Kia Cerato at RM55 - 60k offers most car for your buck. C-Segment sedan, dual-zone climate control, vented seats, relatively easy to maintain. Of course there are more concerns when it comes to buying a used car which we will cover in a future episode. Thanks for pointing it out! 😃

dont go for the xtrail, it has alot of problems my mom just sold off her xtrail because of high maintenance, aircond and gearbox issues which she rather trade it off with a new car instead recently went with a 5 seater cx5 instead of the cx8 since i have my own car now using a 2016 model ford fiesta 1.0 spare car in the house instead of buying a new car since its still good and realiable mantainance. interms of hrv i rather opt for subaru xv which is a reliable suv build with quality instead of hrv..

KIA is a good car, but becomes bad under NAZA. The fourth Gen Cerato was launched in SG since 2019, The fifth Gen is on its way and Malaysia is still stuck with the third Gen? Cars like Seltos, Stonic are nowhere in sight, the reason I guess, is the slow pick up rate of KIA cars under NAZA. Poor management, and marketing which leads to poor confidence on the brand. C&C in Singapore is doing a far better job for KIA in Singapore
