i feel like, in the last couple of years, everyone has started to embrace their individuality more and more - whether that be with fashion or makeup - so with that, people have been wearing less heavy makeup as it can look a bit generic sometimes, as opposed to lighter makeup that lets your natural features shine through. its honestly been so refreshing and much much needed after all those years that we were made to feel that we needed all this fancy high-end glam makeup to fit in. i truly believe theres been more of a move in fashion and just social media in general to appreciate the body you were born in, and its been great honestly

i think the reason 2020 was the end of glam makeup is literally because of covid. everyone was home so who's gonna do a full face of makeup just to sit home or go quickly to the store? now ppl are embracing natural makeup because its way faster to do than a full face.
