Im disappointed in RDRO in general, since I started playing it when I bought the game, and its because they have followed the same business model as GTAO, make everything really expensive, give repetitive and low paying things to do. I dont mind a bit of a grind but if its just doing the same thing every time its boring. I have about 700 hours put into the game and about 660 of those hours are in single player

The naturalist role was just a giant inconvenience, having legendary animals is cool, but travelling all the way to Harriet, just to be sprayed because R* made the animals fucking stupid and easy to trample was just too much. The roles need an entire revamp. Naturalists should be able to tranq animals, and imagine that if you revive that animal, that animal will stick with you, if it's a dog, it'll help you sniff out collectibles, if it's a cougar, it'll help you hunt, sheep, deer and other animals in that category could be used as purely cosmetics, to flex on your friends with, imagine having a pet in this game. Bounty hunters need to have their own system, a whole new bounty board, one where you can see players, and their bounties, players can enable or disable this (like the online invasion in Watch_Dogs games) Trader Role, imagine a Rancher Role augment to this role type. Hear me out. You buy a farmhouse (like Hanging Dog Ranch) or that ranch you worked at as John Marston. This will take care of the property lust we have, and I think it's a fantastic way to get immersed. You wake up in the morning, feed your chickens (that you have to buy like your other live-stock you can get) Your friends can pitch in and help take care of your cattle, feed your chickens, fend off cattle thieves, at night your animals would rest, depending on your upgrades their rest will be better and production of produce would improve, some nights (I'd hope more than most because PVE in this game can be so cool, I need more of it) you and your friends would sit in your farm house, eating down on a home-baked meal, and you'll be interrupted by the sound of 4 guys at your door requesting to seize your cattle, you can attempt to fight them, or you can let them go. Imagine a lawman role, imagine having to go to a nearby town to contact a sherrif to start an investigation, you then pay to get someone to do it for you and recover 100% of your cattle guaranteed, or you can do it yourself and risk losing a small amount. I really don't have any ideas for the collector role, or the moonshiner role, but I'm sure you guys have. I'd love to get more immersed in this game, and I think the whole idea of starting a Rancher Role could be a great way to include everything we want. More encounters, Property, a new fresh role that we can actually invest time in. I don't know let me know what you guys and gals think.

I stopped playing it ever since 2 new bounties came out for the bounty hunter expansion came out. Right now I am playing other games; sometimes been playing gta online, Rainbow 6 Seige, Farming simulator 19. Since the pandemic came out, there is barely anything to play. I have a mom where she says I can’t buy any more games. I wanted to buy many stuff. I even wasted over $700 dollars on digital games

Thats because they are made with the character creator. Some of them are actually the MP_Male and MP_Female ped model. I generally feel like they didnt really try with Cayo Perico, the missions are mostly reused assets shoved together, the only new stuff is the Island and Submarine, and we cant access the Island in Freemode. And to be honest, the scripting and programming for these missions and the heist itself is mediocre at best, especially in Setups. Ive seen Mods with better programming/ scripts. And that is the Game R* loves to milk. If the effort drops there, i dont want to know what the next RDO Update is.

The bugs are pretty too and theres next to no innovation when it comes to the weaponized vehicles. Toreador: Stromberg with boost. Alkonost: worse Volatol with a stealth feature we wanted. On the Volatol. Annihilator Stealth: Literally the Akula without Bombs or Armor. And it has a higher pricetag. The Kurtz cant take any hit so its worthless by default. The Dinghi is boring and could easily be replicated with a dude wielding a minigun. To a greater effect too. The Sub is ok, but it is buggy.

@@Trex-sk1xl the island can only be visited during Heists. The submarine frequently blows up in one shot and can cause bluescreens if you have the audacity to land a vehicle there. The weaponized Vehicles are all reskins of previous ones and boats are as useless as ever. They kinda overpromised there too. I'm not saying Red Dead got a good hand, however the quality of GTAs content is a bit questionable for "the greatest Update ever"

The only real good stuff is the new heist and the sub, which is pretty cool, but very buggy. Red Dead did come off worse, you guys got next to nothing, and R* should improve that in 2021. I think the thing to take away from all this is that we're all disappointed in R*, for whatever reason, be it crappy DLCs, game-breaking bugs (godmode jets, speedo, and players), or simply the trash community. I can only speak for GTA Online though.

TL;DR: I like RDO better than GTAO cuz the community is better For all that I hate about RDO, I think I like it better then GTAO-to be fair, I started playing GTAO last year, and RDR2 is my fav game of all time-I just like the player base more. It is more mature and you don’t have annoying 11 year olds constantly killing you. It definitely has something to do with the core game design of RDO, being set in the past (not giving the game an ability to have flying motorcycles) and it is much harder at the start. People just don’t fuck with each other in this game like in GTAO so I enjoy just being immersed in the RDR2 environment and not being constantly attacked by children who just play the game to grief people. If you look at it from the perspective of R* it makes more sense. Gta Online has more players and makes them more money, so they spent more money/time on updating it. This means even more players leave rdr2 which makes this effect even worse again. The daily streak update doesn't make sense though, cause they're ruining it even more. It sucks but there isn't that much we can do about it.

There’s a good reason why after 7 years GTA 5 and GTA Online are still doing really well and tons of new players every year. The game can be whatever you want it to be. Most of the businesses they’ve added are fun. The problem with Red Dead online is that they are adding roles that people genuinely are not interested in. No one is going to be saying that they can’t wait to play Red Dead to kill a bunch of animals or stuff a bunch of animals after a long day of work. I think cutting the daily challenges in half is what put the nail in the coffin because now you are taking away the incentive to play. Especially from your loyal player base

The biggest problem with Red Dead 2, is that Rockstar / Take Two are trying desperately to replicate the monetization of GTA Online within Red Dead Online. Red Dead 2 should have remained a single player experience. Soooooooooo many more people want a Sadie Adler / Undead Nightnare 2 expansion for single player than meaningless updates in Online, but what do the devs do? They release RDO as a standalone game, and severely nerf daily challenges to force newer players into buying Gold Bars. I'm literally losing so much respect for Rockstar and Take Two week after week.

This hurt so much pro but it’s the sad truth I love this game as much as you but sadly we gotta admit it’s dying out now and if we don’t get the update we need soon (being heists) this game will have entered an unredeemable state with dreadfully low player counts it won’t make them as much money and they’ll give up on us 😖

I agree with everything u said. The fact that ever since 2019 we haven’t had a “memorable” update is so upsetting as this game has so much potential and has an incredible world to expand on and the community is amazing we’ve had to deal with all of this. But Red Dead Online is neglected due to GTA Online and we need more updates to keep the game fresh. We need heists, outlaw role, ranches/farms, more properties etc. Players have been asking for this stuff as they want the game to improve but due to Rockstar’s poor communication it’s difficult to love the game at times with the choices they’ve made. I just want it to do well and be the incredible online experience I know it can be

The gta community versus the red dead community is like the Bugatti fanboys versus the koenigsegg fanboys. Bugatti is like gta, where fans have a feeling of invinibility in that rockstar will keep on rocking the players to sleep and reading them their favorite story, while red dead is like koenigsegg, the underdogs, that came out of nowhere, and came with a blast

Wasn't 2020 the worst year for the whole industry, no? RDO silenced and filled with junks we don't really want, BFV and SWBF2 got plugs pulled, Project Cars 3, MoH and Cyberpunk 2077 flopped, CoDBOCW is a downgrade to its pred, NBA 2K21 same shit as last year like it always does. Everything seems so disappointing.
