Hi Barry, Looked quite easy to fit, I keep thinking of investing in a decent sound decoder, how would you say it compared with tts sound? Glynn

Hi Glynn, I have not used any of the TTS sound decoders so cannot give you a comparison. What I would say is that the TTS sound decoders are a lot less expensive than LoK Sound and Zuma. I guess you get what you pay for but £40 versus £100? The quality of the sound is largely determined by the speaker you fit - as large as possible within the confines of the space available. As you have mainly steam, you probably have a bit more scope, as you can fit decoder/speaker into the tenders. If you've not tried before I'd have a go with a TTS for one of your Hornby locos and see what results you get - you can always try one of the more expensive makes later. Fitting is no more difficult than a non-sound DCC decoder, the only addition being where to house the speaker - Blu-tack or Black-Tack to hold it in place. Regards Barry
