what belly skid are you going with. I cant decide for my 450 either plastic style or aluminum. Glann makes a 1/2 plastic one that looks tough as nails.

So not this past season but all others i would snap usually 2 stock sub frames a year so while starting to get parts for this build i figured this year i would try an aftermarket sub frame this one is from xcel and i think it may be lowered a touch but the aftermarket ones are much stronger vs stock so thats the main reason but i have to say this one looks pretty cool as well!

I am an electrical contractor i own my own business been in the trade for 25-26 years and on my own for mayb 15 now! I guess i can say i know the Yamaha’s pretty well as I’ve built a ton of them! I built the engine as well but i send the heads out for service and porting etc! These are really not too bad and if i get stuck i have another one built to look at too haha!

My front end is like 46.5” and the rear i run about a 1/2” wider but i have the option to make it the same width or narrower w the adjustable axle!

Probably close to the same mayb i still have a good amount left along w parts not here and then do things like bleed brakes adjust toe/camber and go back and check all the bolts fill it w oil/coolant so graffix also take a little time too!

I run a custom skid plate w tapered bolts which need to be flush on my sprocket guard for my setup i will point that out in real time on part two so you can see exactly whats going on w it!

You will need a large diameter alan wrench socket to remove the retainer nut! Besides thats just basic tools be careful when putting that retainer bolt back in thread it in by hand 1st as it can get cross treaded easily!

I have a manual on my phone and a second complete quad for reference i i need it but I’ve built so many of these i just know were everything goes which is crazy! This build if you were to buy a brand new yfz450r and add the mods i did it would cost you 20,000
