You know there is this thing in the bike industry where you are baited to get a new gruppo or a new bike b/c if you ride the old stuff you can’t possibly be doing it right. There is in our DNA that thing where we have to have the biggest peter (or ovaries) when next to another rider. When you peel away that crap what is the really important thing is just ride what you got -you know Just shut up and ride. My son is a professional cyclist, 24 hour solo MTB specialist, and he says most of my stuff is so obsolete it cannot be replaced. So many go out and buy the hot bike of the month and it sits in the garage. I’d rather see someone riding an old Slingshot having a heart rate lower than their age. Matt I am just hoping this channel doesn’t gravitate to new parts and whistles. Your mature sensibility is my attraction ❤️

That would be a perfect bike for the trails I ride here in southern Illinois and Indiana. I have a bike with 140 mm suspension. It’s fast on the way down. Just not a good climber. Been looking at 100 mm bikes a lot lately. Nice job on the 25 pound milestone.

That Yeti is a beauty... I'm riding a 2012 Giant Anthem XC Bike... looking to upgrade soon... not a ton of options out here in Namibia... Looking at the Specialized Stumpjumper or the Norco Fluid or Optic... I've lost 20 lbs since January... still got about another 20 to go... Cheers!

You can tell you're very comfortable on that bike. Looks very nice too. It reminds me of a Gary Fisher Advance mountain bike I had and I loved it. Super nimble and light on my feet. I could fly on that bike.

did you get this down some hills yet? I love to climb, then descend, rinse and repeat. How'd this do on decent? I'm riding an old Kona Cindercone hard tail. gets the job done, but ready for something new and saw a used 2020 sb100. I'm a little concerned it doesn't have the downhill stability, not that I do huge drops, but I do like to go fast downhill to dry off the sweat.

If you are going to descend, I highly recommend knee and elbow protection. It takes forever for that paper mache skin to heal! But the battle scars are cool...

3:07 be careful to not send it with that Grip damper, that dial can shift and lock the fork out. it's dangerous, so no gnarly fast root sections, no big drops, jumps, no brutal and high bunny hops. I am speaking from experience wit this dial, awful mechanism, no firm clicks. but my fox 36 factory does not have that issue, nor will Elite, which has exact same spec apart from Kashima.
