Hsin-Hao Yang was born in 1998 in Changhua, Taiwan. He is earning his Masters degree at New England Conservatory under the instruction of Prof. Wha-Kyung Byun.
Hsin-Hao has won numerous awards, including the first prize of the Dallas International Piano Competition, CSUF annual concerto competition, and National Music Competition in Taiwan in 2009, 2011, and 2016. He also participated in the 2011 International Youth Piano Festival in Taiwan, the 2013 Interharmony Music Festival in Italy, the 2016 Music@Menlo Festival in San Francisco, and the 2019 Art of Piano Festival in Cincinnati. Hsin-Hao performed Liszt’s piano concerto no. 1 with Dallas Chamber Symphony Orchestra in Moody Hall in 2019. Hsin-Hao was a student of Pei-Chun Liao, Grace Chung, Ning An and has been instructed in masterclasses by Dang Thai Son, Paul Schenly, Awadagin Pratt, Enrico Elisi, etc.
Po-Han Chiu, a native of Taiwan, was born in Pingtung county of Taiwan. Po-Han discovered his interest in playing the piano at the age of 5, and showed extreme talent in it. He began to participate in various piano competitions the year right after his enlightenment. Po-Han was a student of Chih-Yu Chen and Grace Chung. Currently, Po-Han is studying under the instruction of Professor Ning An in California State University, Fullerton. In January 2018, Po-Han performed Rachmaninoff’s second piano concerto with Berlin Symphony Orchestra in Pingtung Performing Arts Center.
Po-Han’s achievements covers not only the competitions, but also numerous remarkable festivals and masterclasses. He also had the honor to be instructed by renowned pianists, including Dang Thai Son, Meng-Chieh Liu, Natalia Trull, Victor Rosenbaum, John Perry, Jerome Lowenthal, Caleb Harris, Pi-Hsien Chen, Bruce Brubaker, Minsoo Sohn, Alexander Korsantia, Ching Yun Hu etc. Music Festivals including Walnut Hill in Boston, Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy and achieved second prize in Philadelphia International Piano Competition, and Music Festival Perugia held in NTNU, Taiwan.
