2021-11-14 The one about Vesper Cortex

I've been using a Vesper Cortex for about a year. The AIS and Anchor Watch features all work really well. The VHF works well as well EXCEPT for the ergonomics of the handset. Too much like a smart phone and it is difficult to use in heavy seas. Slips out of the hand, and channels accidently change too easily. Fortunately a traditional VHF can be added and even share the same antenna. I prefer actually using a traditional VHF and just using the Cortex to monitor other channels. The software has recently been updated for a Loud Hailer function, but I haven't tried that yet.

Thank you for your honest review. We are looking forward to the latest software release as well with the ability to lock in channels, and have a hailer horn function it is only just the beginning of the evolution for this unit
