2021.2.20 Attack Tsukuba 2021 - アタック筑波2021

The final showdown of the 2020/2021 Tsukuba time attack season.
Attack Tsukuba 2021 was successfully held this past weekend, despite all the challenges it faced during these tough times.
Unfavourable conditions, with temperatures rising to over 18 degrees, didn't stop some incredible records being set.
Highlights included RE Amemiya, finally coming out to the biggest time attack event in Japan as well as the glorious exhaust note of a 4 rotor FD3S.

ah I love those Attack Copens! 3:55 Apparently the stock engine in those had some curious rally heritage (Daihatsu planned for some Japanese rally class) and can take a lot of boost. Seen some onboard footage, and they sound absolutely awesome.

Subscribed due to your excellent coverage and information provided. glad to see the rotary get so much love in japan. in the states people desecrate the RX-7 with V8 and I6 swaps stripping away the identity of the car. Bunch of apes that take the easy way out with their swaps instead of learning how to properly build and tune rotaries.

As always many thanks for this incredible footage and commentary! I love the Kei cars, the name of that van is hilarious. Very impressed with the Garage GR Yaris, how is it running 58s already :0. Also, do you have more details on the Arvou car? 53s is unbelievable, approaching Top Fuel laptime with less aero. What power/engine is it running? Any idea on their end goal? That 4 rotor sounds insane. Only thing I can think of that rivals in sound is racing high rev V10/V12
