I'm a set collector. I keep what I need for my sets, put all the parallels in Sage's Surprise Packs, and I store all the duplicates in boxes and dump it on the cheap when the pile grows too big.

Chronicles is always very, very rookie-heavy. So Chronicles rookies are never worth much compared to most other sets. But you get a ton of rookies. So it's quantity vs. quality. You can still pull cool color parallels of top rookies though.
