Chris has the same delivery as a good drill instructor or rangemaster: You know that he has done this a thousand times before, but he remains crisp, authoritative, and precise. I especially like the “I want you to…” directions. Whenever I encounter this style, I pay very close attention.

He is exactly like the instructors that explained the various systems in airplanes when I went through USAF pilot training. There was endless testing, and some of them were life and death important. The instructors were fantastic.

I have a 1971 Airstream Tradewind 25' and many of the things I love about my 50 year old trailer they still use in the newer Airstreams today. Proof that some things just work, and are built to last. Would love to park mine next to this one and take a poll on which one people prefer :)

A hint form a 2020 owner of this unit. Upgrade that external exhaust vent to the stainless steel version that Airstream sells. My plastic tab broke off the first time I used it, so I ordered one and had them install it when I returned to Dallas. I've had Zoro issues with the new steel version.

Open sticky window with a credit card, if you raise then lower Jack before stopping completely you can blow a fuse, level side to side before unhitching and before leveling front n back or bad things will happen... not halfway thru vid yet and I appreciated your honesty!

The guy is a good presenter of information, technically and I see why many people are praising him so highly and one of the main reasons is the little "extras" he goes into that can prevent you from damaging or making a forgetful or careless mistake like leaving your key in the door or clearing and closing all drains and exhaust fans while towing. That all said he also has a pretty dry, serious personality and a little intimidating like a great teacher you had in school but one you know you didn't want to screw with.

Amazingly thorough video review of the Airstream features. This model addresses most of the shortcomings I found with the new, smaller, much-too-spartan looking model. About the only thing I think should be improved is the type and capacity of batteries, capacity of the inverter, and the reliance on such substantial shore power. There should be sufficient Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries and a sufficient capacity inverter to run an extremely efficient combo heat pump/AC, and sufficient solar panels on the huge roof to keep the batteries charged. It has been done before, so it's not impossible. For what Airstream charges, those features should be available.

Excellent review and info. That said, as nice as these are, it’s surprising and disappointing when I se owner videos showing the control panel placed in wall under window and it being a know problem with moisture shorting it out. That is just very poor engineering and at this premium price there is no excuse for it. Also so many other parts seem fragile. Many “be careful “ when opening this, when closing this.
