I was just looking at the M440i Coupe... I like the design! Just the right amount of power, and quite comfortable! The seats adjust beautifully and you get noticed driving it around town! BMW did a fine job! Bravo! For the people complaining about the grill... "Would you like some cheese with your whine?" When you see the M440i, you definitely know what it is... it's a BMW!

Great review as always - I dig the new grill, it’s something different as an intriguing talking point but also personally evokes the 70’s BMW 2002 tii - definitely the evolution of modernity. I’ll admit though - I love the ones much more on the upcoming M Competition variants.

I guess I am a traditionalist. I miss the Hofmeister kink and the grills being separated, rather than joined. I have owned three BMW’s and can’t see owning another with the current design direction. Great review as always Steve!

Nice review. Looks like a buck toothed Mustang. Grill is slightly less ridiculous in person and is one of the few that doesn’t get hurt the by the front plate. Maybe it will grow on me. OT - can you imagine trying to restore one of these in 30 years?

Great review, Steve. Thanks! Don’t really care for BMW ergonomics (to put it very mildly) but might be worth it for such a sublime drive. The grille, as it stands, reminds me of an old Monks song, “Nice Legs, Shame about Her Face.” That said, I can’t help but wonder if I’ll grow used to it over time. We’ll see. It’s that time of year again: This is a German car. Drive it like it’s stollen!

So the adaptive suspension is comfortable? I've heard some reviews say the M440i is even stiffer than the M340i. But maybe that wasn't with the adaptive suspension.

I think the Motor and driving dynamics are on point. But this design, honestly even the interior, BMW has been phoning it in putting in this exact design into every model they make..... and they make too many models...... but, there are better looking options out there.

You know Steve, I actually appreciate your neutrality as Switzerland over that god awful grill. In my lifetime I have owned a total of 9 BMW s and not a single part of their design bothered me. This grill and the whole front end does, in fact it is an offensive joke. The whole exterior is bland as far as I’m concerned. I enjoy your videos, opinion and comments. ⭐️

Do cars have to have a polarizing design to stand out these days? I hate the new Sonata design and now this from BMW? I have a Bimmer myself (2016 335i) and I bought it coz of that front end kidney grill and sharp side lines. This new model looks like it was designed by some chipmunks (in literal sense). No definitive side lines... it doesn't excite me. How did they come to this design, from the current 5 series to this one? Beats me !!!

I'm so over these reviewers gushing over BMW when they don't even drive like they used too. The design of the interiors and exteriors are kind of outdated looking. There is nothing class leading about them. Oh and how they choose to ignore the dumb naming conventions they use. Having said that I like Steve's work but please stop overlooking their faults because of nostalgia.
