Thanks, John. We have been spoiled in recent years. 2021 is the only year between 2014 and 2022, inclusive, that I bought no claret whatsoever. I will open a 2014 Beaumont for dinner this evening: it is drinking beautifully right now.

@@AttorneySomm The Beaumont is a really lovely wine and great vfm. I would say that the 2014 is at its peak right now. Not hugely complex but everything is in harmony. It also paired well with the lamb dish this evening. Luckily, I still have half a case left to enjoy.

Thanks for the interesting video John. To be honest I skipped all 2021 like the plague. There is one single wine I bough EP and I think you missed in the list, in fact I think it will be one of the very best wines regardless of price. I am talking about Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion. I bought a case for $115 a bottle and I think that in a few years I will be rewarded. Other than that wine I plan to buy zero from 2021 vintage . Have a great Sunday

@@DD153 Vinous at least speaks very highly of it. They gave it a range of 95-97. Definitely another one worth considering, especially if your palate aligns with Vinous rankings.

I noticed you say "MAIR-low" instead of "Muhr-low," which is the way most Americans say that. Are you trying to be more true to the proper French pronunciation? I want to know just so that I might say it properly myself.

@@dougronald561 Yes! Most of the pronunciation police on KZbin seem to be French-speaking. I have found that reduces the number of (annoying) critical pronunciation comments. 😂
